Coworker hasn’t spoken to me in days why?

The other day i walked in my office and started on my work since i was a little late. After finishing what i had to do i went to my coworkers desk to ask about his morning. He was upset and said “you don’t have to worry about me speaking to you ever again” then i said why” and he said “we need to talk” and i said “about what?”
Then he said “just stop talking to me you came in didn’t speak now you want to speak”

What did i do why is he mad?

It kinda seems like you should avoid this guy as much as possible. Just say hi to him or nod hello when you see him, and let him respond or not respond.

He's trying to suck you into the melodrama. Maybe he's secretly in love with you or something, and he wants to make it seem, like in his own mind, that you two have this really stormy, intense personal thing going on.
