Not true at all. My dad was good looking, my grandpa and grandma were very good looking but my grandpa and dad were abusive and jealous to their wives, though not now in old age lol.

Abusive men usually come from abusive families. Such as their mothers boyfriend or their actual father abused the family he in turn thinks that is normal behaviour and will do it to his own family.

Why would their attraction play a part. So if you had an attractive sister, why would that make you less of an abuser?

Because you can potentially see women as human beings and not objects, given that most people feel some attachment to their family members and not in a lustful way.
