What would make you get up and dance with your girl?

Some guys genuinely enjoy pulling their girl up for a dance (let’s say either at an event or even just at home if the mood strikes and the right song is playing) while other guys grudgingly get up to dance with their girls… which are you?

Treble down bass up solved the problem for me. Once you can hear the beat you just have to shuffle to it. Oh and twirl the girl. They like that too.

I never cared for dancing but did it in jr. high to get near girls.

I was a musician and preferred going to events to see bands. I was never into the club scene.

When Saturday Night Fever was released I was revolted by every single thing about the Travolta character - his hair, his clothes, the way he walked, and that... 🤮🤮🤮... dancing. I fucking hated disco!

Dancing to me always seemed like a bunch of posing and posturing.

But I would take girlfriends to events sometimes and dance with them because girls delight in dancing and think it is romantic to get dressed up, be treated like ladies, and show off with their man. I like slow dancing alright, and I can do the waltz thing, I can twirl a girl, and I can rock out. But I don't know any fancy moves.

My wife is a typical girl. So we occasionally go someplace with live music. And she loves it when I take her hand and lead her to the dance floor. What the heck. I can hold her tight, be romantic, twirl her, and act silly. I love making her happy and seeing the joy on her face.

What's funny is, I was a rocker and I found out that my wife (who is 2.5 years younger) was a disco girl. She loved going to clubs with her silly girlfriends to dance.

This isn't her, but I think they were into "big hair" in the 80s. LOL

I was more like this.

But, there was a lot of music that we both liked. And, over time, she came to appreciate "some" of the music I like. And I grew to actually like some of the disco music I had formerly despised.

I don’t dance to just anything. Committed relationships are often about compromise. If she wants to dance, i will.
Otherwise, there are a few songs that reach my dance, dance, dance, dance, dancin’ machine button directly. If she wants to join me, she can, but i’m dancing anyway.

I find her attractive and beautiful to my eyes and I want to have fun with her , and to be closer to her , hoping she feels the same way about me. My eyes are on her and no one else.
