I am ok if he don’t have a car, has a good job and is hard working, very fit, humble and kind, respectful, understands me, finds happiness in small small things, is very positive ( he said me I’ll give you the love you did not get from you family ) so no property on my name as everything goes to my brother as per the will and dad has patriarch mindset that girls always leaves home after marrying the guy, so giving property to girl is as good as giving property to her husband. So since I am earning too but have nothing on my name, is it ok if I marry a middle class that I’m in love with? He does not want anything from me money wise. The previous guys I dated a bit rich than me, took me for granted and expected me to compete with another woman. I’m very simple and a minimalist girl, not luxurious, I like less is more kinda thinking in case of materialistic things and this guy believes in the same. He is simple too. He is also a minimalist.

Before you call me a heartless parent let me explain. In Singapore raising a child is no longer meant for people with low or average income, as for me my salary is less than $1.5k, if I really want one child I had to marry a man who earns around $3k per month. That’s because I also have to pay $1k to hire a nanny to take care of the baby, if I were to marry a guy with the same income as me and have a child basically our lives will be very miserable because there won’t be enough money to raise a child. I also wouldn’t want my parents to raise my child since they already had a hard time raising me due to financial issues, no way will I want my parents to go through that again.

I meant it in a way when you’re mature and your standards are not super high when you want to find a good partner. I realised my standards of men were way too high when I was 18, since 13 years old I wanted to be the first wife of a very rich man so when he wants to divorce me I can have half of his assets. In college I was very disappointed with myself for wanting to marry a rich man when me myself wasn’t a wealthy heiress in the first place. I started to treasure good man way more when I was 20 years old after I was used by my evil ex boyfriend for sex. I noticed guys older than 28 are more ready to get a partner and get married. I’m 24 this year and I’m still a little too young to get married as they stated the youngest age to get married is 25 years and above. They also claimed 25 year olds are way more mature and more willing to take responsibilities.
