So I know all of you have already told me that I’m the asshole with the ongoing feud between my upstairs neighbor and I. If you also deal with a person that has no regard and chooses to not better the situation after over a year, you would also feel the urge to get even. If you choose to “be the bigger person” well kudos. As I said previously, I chose to get back by two methods: slamming my front door and buying a ceiling thumper. After two months of constantly slamming my door, she approached me and asked if I could stop. Mind you, what has she done to work with me? I laughed in her face but did stop, but I did buy a ceiling thumper to hit her floor/my ceiling. I’ve been using this for two months and she hasn’t said anything. It vibrates, knocks and does a mix of both. Depending on how much noise I hear during the day, I will use it for different times on and off. She hasn’t said anything, unfortunately the noise can be heard from outside depending on where it’s placed. I tried placing it by the kitchen so it can’t be heard from the window or front door. I did it while I was in the shower yesterday and when I came out the shower, it was turned off after 20 min cycle but I heard her coming inside her place. Mind you when I first started it, she was home (she usually is during that time which is why I turned it on). So I’m not sure if she heard it when she went to her car or if it was off by the time she came back inside. I turned it on at that same intensity and stood outside our front doors, the vibration could be heard from outside. Mind you, my mom has heard it through FaceTime and said it isn’t that loud.
