He broke up with me.. He said lots of stupid reasons like its too much or we barely get to talk (we talked all the time)... I asked him what the real reason why and he said " I still have feelings for her" ( her= back stabbing use to be friend/ his ex )... Why do guys break up with the one they claim they would never leave for their ex?

So I am a senior in high school, my brother is a junior. I have never been seen as popular. I have always been seen as the quiet weird nerd. I have never gone to any of the school functions except once for extra credit. I don't have many friends and don't go out to hang out with friends much (maybe once or twice a year). My grades are average, a little bit below average. No one usually wants to work with me on group projects. Guys don't really look at me (except one, my ex).

My brother is popular. Lots of friends, women love him, makes straight A's. He goes to ALL of the school functions. He hangs out with his friends more than one time a week.

Tonight we had a school function, my brother went with his friends. My mother insisted I go but I don't have anyone to go with. So I stayed home. She always tries to get me to go hang out with friends, she doesn't realise that my friends bail on me or that they play on their phones the whole time.

Should I feel bad? She use to think I was this outgoing chick with loads of guys and friends until recent, and she looked so hurt. When she was my age she was super popular and had lots of guys.

I am not even planning on going to prom which upsets my mother. I just have no one to go to, no one have asked me.
