My best friend broke up with her long-term boyfriend, whom is also my friend. He told her that he loved her kinda early on while dating (she was his first for basically everything which I think caused this). He tells me he thought he was in love because he didn't know what it felt like but that he didn't really fall in love until later. I don't know if I believe him but let's give him the benefit of the doubt. Most importantly, it was before she thought she loved him. I think it was all downhill from there. I know both of them pretty dang well and I know they're perfect for each other. I created a poll to see if anyone agrees before I say anything to either of them. Also, like 4 or 5 months before they started talking she had been heartbroken and was an absolute wreck. I assume she built up some walls emotionally which made her hesitant to fall deeply for someone again.

In my experience girls are not attracted to guys who chase, doesn't matter how compatible they may be (which they seem so compatible it makes me sick/jealous when I hang out with them lol). He was just about always the one doing the chasing it seemed. Because she knew he loved her and he put her on a pedestal before she even thought she loved him, I think her feelings weren't able to further develop. In other words, she knew she could have him at the snap of her fingers so it was hard for her to be attracted to him. Also, I think the pressure of feeling she needed to reciprocate made it even harder for her on top of what happened in her last relationship. They weren't exclusive the first year when he wanted to be the entire time (surprise surprise) but they were the second year. in my opinion, I think space was what they needed for many reasons. Each time he'd remind her how much he cared, however he did it, it would just push her further away as girls are only attracted to lovey doveyness if they're really into the guy. Which, based on a lot of things but mainly timing, she wasn't. Thoughts?

I'm a late bloomer so I've never officially dated many people. I met a girl on eharmony. I think this girl is cute and we went out on three dates. She's kind of an introvert. The first date was okay, the second was really good cause she was getting all touchy and the third was a little distant. We don't really have any chemistry but at the same time I kind of don't know what I want and really bad at flirting. I know I want a long term relationship with a nice yet funny girl but this girl is kind of bland. The thing is that I'm an introvert shy guy too so that's why I think I should keep seeing her. I felt the third date went really bad because there were a lot of moments of silence. I know I made some mistakes such as not suggesting to pay for everything but I always tried to be a gentleman. We made plans for her friend's wedding but after having a text session with her 3 days prior she never texted back to a small joke I made. So I decided to wait based on some of my friends advice. The day before the wedding I had to know what was going on so I called her. She didn't respond to my phone call and my message I left on her phone. Now it's a year later and i haven't gone out on any dates but I learned a lot from those dates and from helpful dating guides. Two weeks ago she tried to add me to facebook and sent me a message asking how I'm doing.

What do you guys think I should do?
