People are how they are. They are in one place emotionally in life today, but so many do not function at their higher levels. We are all in different stages of growth.

But to relate to people, to win them over in relationships, date, etc... is it better to interact with them as they are now, or to interact with them as you see they can be... e. g. when you see their greater potential?

My gut says if you want to win a date with someone, you have to deal with what you see in front of you. Trying to convey you see their higher good will look like manipulation when you don't know them.

When in a relationship, I think better chance to treat them in a better way.

For example, if a woman has been abused by men and has low self esteem, you could treat her like the other guys who had success. that's proven to work with her. Trying to treat her higher than she sees herself... I'm sure girls are going to say... yea do that... but my guess is it backfires as her feelings rise up she isn't worthy, and loses attraction. theory not fact...

But when you are dating her, I think you can feed to her how you see her potential, and help her to heal from those wounds from others.

So I feel kinda proud of myself because today at work some guy (with a lower position them me) flipped out and started throwing shit in my section because he thought I was moving too slow but his dumbass doesn't understand my duties and responsibilities and my supervisor asked me to do something for him in another section so I got kinda behind with my work

Anyways the whole time he was flipping out and being an ass I just stared at him like Jim from the office and I didn't say a word, in fact I went to another section and started chatting with a coworker since my job was done anyways 😑. I think I should be proud of myself because I maintained a masculine frame and didn't react to his bullshit but at the same time I'm not sure if I should always be so quiet.

Like the other day my mom got mad at me because this girl at my job decided to yell at me in front of everyone for putting something somewhere she didn't want it. Everyone kind of glanced at me but I still didn't say anything and i just smiled and said ok and moved it. My mom was pissed because quote, "a man doesn't let people disrespect him like that, especially some woman" 😑.

The problem I have is that I'm not an asshole and whenever someone says some shit or does something I'm kinda unprepared to respond so i just don't say anything. I'm a think before I speak kinda guy but when your at work and some asshole yells or disrespects me I can't come up with a solution quick enough so I just don't even try. Any ideas? Thanks
