A lot of people don’t believe in Karma. I myself have gotten more doubtful over years. There is a zero sum aspect to this world that is unfortunately true. Sometimes you have to step on heads to get ahead. You may or may not have a conscience. If you do have one maybe you have to contend with a guilty conscience. But that seems like a minor price to pay for a lot people given the benefits they can get for their actions.

Anyway I notice people who burn the other gender often make bs excuses for actions because they themselves have been burned in the past. It’s a bullshit excuse because the reality you have with is with that one person and it’s just between you and them. You are not “getting back” at the man or woman who burned you by mistreating an unrelated man or woman. You are not getting your “revenge” You are just harming a person who doesn’t deserve it.

I often blame women for this adolescent behavior. But when I’m brutally honest with myself I confess there have been a few isolated incidents I have done this in my own life. It was particularly during my man whore phase in my late 20s/early 30s. I was never a liar. But I would play dumb with women who I knew wanted a relationship when I just wanted to get laid. I felt some mild guilt about it and but I buried that by remembering how many women burned me for being a “nice” guy in my early 20s. I figured it was “my turn” to enjoy the one way benefits.

But that was wrong. Bottom line is this is really just contributing to a “dog eat dog” shitty cycle that’s making things worse and worse for men and women. We look at scoring one for “our team”. In reality when you screw over someone else in dating they might screw over someone else at some point. There is more distrust. More hate. More selfishness. More toxic femininity. More toxic masculinity.

But Mother Nature meant to bound men and women together for companionship and reproduction. It’s NOT a “my team vs. your team”. It’s supposed to be two halves to a whole.

There used to be studies on this, and it found that most women prefer short hair on men, but that study has since been censored.

I see a growing trend of men growing out their hair, and I don't get why. It makes them look weak, and there's more going on there than just visuals. You're not going to wear an army helmet with long hair, you're not going to aim down sights with long hair in the way, and you're sure as hell not going to fight off the creep who touched that girl inappropriately at the bar when he can grab you hair and strangle you with it.

This is made worse when seeing the long-haired guys. They're extremely skinny, often very emotional and hot-headed, and very fragile. Some say it's hot as it's deviant, but that to me is like refusing to do exercises at boot camp and giving credit to the guy who refuses to perform his duty cause that's deviant behavior as well.

Women want a man who's level-headed, strong, protective, and kind. Men with long hair have none of those qualities and don't even look the part. A good question for them is, "Are you a girl? Cause if you're not, why are you trying to look like them?

This all started at a 5-day convention a year ago, followed by 2 more each of these lasting a weekend, held by some EU history university faculties. Right after we first saw each other we held our gazes on each other noticeably longer than usual. Soon after that, she came to stand next to me, in a group I was already with, and I tried to talk to her but it was difficult as her stuttering and nervousness was quite bad. Sometimes when walking past me she would turn her head towards me and stare at me while she walked into another direction. During presentations at all 3 conventions where we met and at break times she'd regularly stare, hold her gaze at me or glance over towards me several times. She only stutters and becomes tense with me.

I'm a guy, we're both history students with an interest in labor history. She lives in Austria, and she knows, since we first met, that I live in Sweden. She seems introverted, and tends to stick with people from her own faculty. Yet, she consistently has this behavior I described earlier to just me, and at every convention she also takes initiative to come and talk with me, and when she doesn't tense up or stutter, she smiles at me too.

However, she also does seem to give signals of seemingly disinterest like she doesn't respond to most of my chat messages, she only wrote me that she's the worst at chatting which she wrote me after I complimented her appearance of her selfie in a story post. That was before our most recent convention in last April, but her behavior during this convention seemed unchanged and similar to before, ie still stuttering and tense with only me but walks over to talk with me with a smile. She also regularly still held her gaze at me during presentations and break times. Later, when we had a bit of small talk she suddenly walked away from me, but while walking away from me she turned her head to me and kept looking at me.

The next time I will likely see her is in 4 weeks at a convention lasting a week.
