Whenever he says "love you" and calls me baby or sweetie I almost cry, I just can't take it. He says the same thing for many other girls, it's not real. I know I'm his favorite, but that's not enough for me anymore.

I am reading a book called love and respect and the message is that men want respect and women want love, but men don't know how to give love because:
men are simple!
example: If a girl would ask a guy to a place to eat she would say "would you like to eat at : HIS favorite restaurant here"
if a guy would ask a girl to a place to eat he would say "where would you like to eat" the girl will say "wherever you want" but what she really is saying "I want you love show me you love me by asking if I want to go to my favorite restaurant. Guy will suggest a place HE likes because he is simple and he doesn't actually know that the girl wants him to ask for the place she wants to go to. This will and let me say that again, this usually WILL get the girl mad!

another example: It's their 10th anniversary. Girl will buy guy something that he wanted and take him to a restaurant he wants. guy will think that it's just a dumb tradition and very last minute (because he has much more important things to do) go get her a card (that says happy birthday) and give it to her because he is simple (in his head card=I remembered, here you go). This is NOT make the girl feel loved. But girl needs to understand that the guy is simple and simple minded people do NOT think about other people in a way that says "I remember this is a special day for you and making it special makes you feel loved".

Okay so I've had many guys tell me: Let's hang out...
I say okay to do what?
They say we can do coffee and then netflix and literally chill after.

While coffee is great, cool.
Why... why... why do they resort to netflix and chill after?
Like it ruins everything.
Like I look at people with their super rich bfs/gfs and I dont think they ask them if they wanted to netflix and chill? They take them to freaking resorts or a nice restaurant etc.
While money could be an issue.. I read someone say their date told them to meet them at the park and bring their favorite book. They can trade books to read and just get to know each other. Innovative cute and cheap. Things like that...

Now it's like snap chat, sit at their home, cuddle... go home... and until next time.

I feel like netflix and chill will be if you're ALREADY in a relationship and you don't want to go out and spend money. That's something you can do then. I don't know. This new thinking in this new age irritates me.
