During that time, you (not both of you) bought a house and he helped you pack and move from your previous home, helped with cleaning the previous home to return to the landlord's control, and then he helped you unpack and he settled you into your new home. He has gone out of his way to be extremely helpful to you. You have gone to concerts together, dinner together, and he has prepared dinner for you. He has met your adult son and the two of them get along well. He has met a few of your friends and they like him.

You know that he is "crazy" about you. He has told you that he adores you and you know that the two of you are compatible in many ways. You have some minor differences in beliefs and lifestyles but those are treated with respect.

He is a monogamous dater and he hasn't dated anyone else since your first date. You have not dated anyione else, either. You have had a few first dates but have not been in a relationship for the past 2 years. He and his ex were married for 4 years, separated 8 months ago, and amicably divorced 5 months ago. He had one contact with his ex snce then, when he discovered that he had a few of her possessions, but he told you about that before he contacted her, and it was all handled by email and text.

He expressed his desire for you earlier but you weren't ready, so he patiently waited. One week ago, you made love for the first time and it was very enjoyable for both of you; it was making love and not just having sex. He has seen you without makeup, in your grubbiest clothes, and he frequently tells you how cute you are. In the 2 1/2 month you have been dating, you have not had one angry word between the two of you. You talk on the phone every day and see each other about four times per week. You have already talked about taking a trip to Europe together next year.

If he came to you now and told you that he has fallen in love with you, how would you react?

Okay I'm going to sound really stupid and hot-headed for saying this, so sorry, but I have genuinely felt this before.
Sometimes I feel like I could give someone so much happiness. I'm over 6 foot, have a decent body (not fat) and have a pretty good face. I'm smart (academically and in other senses) and kind and I would never get a girl just for sex- I'd wait until she's ready and do whatever she tells me to do to her.
But instead of going out there and finding a girl to make happy, I choose to be quiet and shy and not meet new people (I go to an all boys school, so I don't see any girls my age in my day to day life). And sometimes it just tears me apart, because I'm being selfish and choosing what I want, even though it's not the best thing to do.

Am I wrong, is this normal, or am I delusional? (If you think the third, I can totally relate, I sound like I'm boasting in this question, sorry :( )
