So now that the TTC is finally allowing bank card payments like the rest of the transits that use Presto, I finally threw out my Presto card and now will use my debit card. I don't live in Toronto but I do commute there for school (and eventually for work), but I'd like to know if the transfer concept applies for debit too. When I did transfer today, the terminal just shows Accepted instead of Free Transfer, and because I broke another phone and the bank I'm with had the genius idea of only allowing for SMS 2FA I got no clue how much money was spent. I can still deposit and withdraw money, but I either have to do it over the phone or at another bank that bought out my current bank years ago. I always hated having to load money directly to a card specifically for public transit, especially since you couldn't reload the card everywhere and the Presto app is so garbage.
