So there's this girl who went to the same class as me my senior year. At first I thought she was nothing special, cute but quirky in a way that I thought was just for attention. But as the year went on, I was starting to realize that she doesen't seem to be like that at all. She seems like a really cool person who is smart and organized and knows how to have fun doing stupid shit sorta how I like to.

Fast forward, I'm a freshman in college now and she's a senior The place I work at, turns out she works there too so a couple times we worked together and she told me that she was glad she got to know me. I wasn't sure if I wanted to date her or not because not only did I have a long distance relationship but I was getting tired of my friends and she would be a really cool one.

The long distance thing is over and so I go to talk to her. I told her that we should hang out soon and she asked me "As friends or as. . . going out?" I totally froze, I so wasn't expecting that U didn't even think of it in terms like that at the time and I think because I gave her a mixed reaction she turned me down. Like she said sure but told me she was busy for whe whole week.

My boss (I don't think she knows that wer're really tight) told me that she didn't know if I'm still in a relationship so a week or two later I talked to her again and literally told her that I think she's a really cool person and that I honestly don't know if I want a relationship or not but she's definitely someone I want to be friends with. She was like "well, we are friends" weve never hung out before!!

Did she say what she meant? Would it be too many attempts if I tried to set something up for us to do? I have no idea what to do and I'm so confused by her actions. Like if I run into the store for something quick, she always says hi and is really nice to me. She's the only girl I get nervous around.
