I speak Portuguese as my first language and also speak fairy good English. But my boyfriend is Chinese and does not speak neither of the languages so well and I don't speak Chinese at all. We are living in Portugal and he is studying Portuguese but his level is still basic. We use really simple words and a lot of examples to explain our ideas and also a translator a lot of times but recently I am kind of out of patience. It is super frustrating someimtes. But other than that I would say my boyfriend is perfect.
What do you think of this relationship?

So my ex broke up with me last month. We were together for 5 years, and made a commitment to each other to always support one another. Like any relationship, things weren't perfect. I've been struggling with finding a job in my field since graduating last year. This has been a topic of debate that has caused some fights between us in the past, but we always ended up making up. About a month before the breakup, my boyfriend started to distance himself from me, picking overtime work on the weekends and not calling me during the week. I knew something was wrong, but I really didn't want to push it. One night, I called him and he pretty much exploded at me. He said we would talk about it the next day as he was too tired. The next day he showed up at my place with my stuff and said he "couldn't handle the stress and more", that he "needed to be alone" and that he was "sorry". I was hurt, and all I could do is cry.

I really don't know what to do if he wants to get back together again (if that happens). I still have feelings for him, but he really hurt me and it makes me wonder how he will be able to deal with major life events in the future. Do you think I should give him a second chance if he comes back?
