My mother only did that once but for a reason. She found out my friends and I were on a girl's case for 1/2 of the school year. I think someone informed her at some point.

It was humiliating because this is what she did for a whole month:
- Changed her work shift so she can take me to school early
- Walked with me towards the classroom
- Used the 30 mins morning recess to interact with the teacher and my friends
- Talked to the girl and once jokingly said ''(My name), you never introduced me to her, I didn't realize you two get along so well''.
- Told a couple funny stories about my toddler years, which I told mom to stop because it's embarrassing but she wouldn't. She silently whispered ''keep it up and next time it's going to be worse''.

My mom pretty much forced that friendship in the beginning. She befriended the girl's parents. Though, at some point I realized we had some things in common and even shared the same b-day. Our friendship grew stronger over the years.

Even though my behavior at the time (we were then 14 year-olds) was indeed wrong, is it ever ok to humiliate your child at school? Would you have done that if your child was doing what I did?
