During my internship I was assigned to a Group of students. Since I’m not pretty and most of them were male I was pretty much ignored the entire time while everyone talked normally to the hot girls.

There was only one handsome guy who paid me attention and tried to be nice and tried to find ways to talk to me alone. He talked a lot about himself, his family and his interests and career prospects and I felt like he tried to impress me.

Now I’m wondering why would the hottest guy of the group be the only one who approached me and tried to get to know me while all the others tried to get with the hot girls. He seemed genuinely nice but I’m afraid he considered me just an easy target since he could easily Date Models or did he just pity me because no one paid me attention?

This guy at work is very sociable but not interested in getting to know me at all. He likes to have a chat with pretty much every girl in the office except me and when we discuss work related things he looks like he wants to escape the conversation asap and makes self deprecating jokes (which I am ok with I don’t have to be his friend).

However when I see him in a group (for instance when we talk or when I pass him and his friends by) and don’t notice him right away he acts really loud and smiley with me and positions himself so that he gets all my attention or stares really intensely.

Why does he crave my attention if he doesn’t even consider me interesting?

I know the LGBTQ political action groups force people to accept it but would you otherwise if not coerced into it? ... is it really OK?

I went to a social gathering to network with other folks who travel solo or in group, basically to learn from each others experiences. This guy came up to me and started talking. Over the next 30 mins, he just went on and on about his job, his apartment that he owns and the three side businesses he runs. He also tried inquiring if I was interested in having kids later in my life. Basically, he was selling himself and trying to gauge if I fit in his "requirements". He happened to ask for my phone number and I gave it. I know that I have to learn to say no and I have decided what to do next time some guy asks and I'm not willing to give. Out of being polite, I just continued the conversation and at one point, I moved into a group of guys and girls to avoid talking to him one-on-one. I did notice that he was also exchanging numbers with another girl in the group. Seems like a player.

Anyways, so he texted me the time I shared my number and I didn't read those messages indicating to him that I'm not interested. He texted me again a few hours ago asking how my week is going and if I'm free for coffee on Sunday morning. I haven't opened the message to read it as it flashed on my phone screen and I was able to read it there. So, now he thinks that I haven't read his message.

I do not want to talk or meet him. Should I just ghost him? I know its not mature thing to do but I'm done being nice already.
