This girl from bumble I started seeing found me on facebook after a miscommunication. You see, several months ago she hung up on me during our first phone call. Long story short I called her out on it and moved on. She was shocked. The details are complicated. Well, I guess she found me on facebook 2 months ago and sent me a message. I never saw it and didn't reply.

This week, I came across the message. I replied forgetting who she was and thinking it was some long lost relative reaching out. Well... it was her. Ever since I called her out and told her off she has been coming very strong and hard. Like.. very thirsty. Messaging me a lot. Apologizing for what she did.

She has openly admitted to liking me a lot. Now she's admitted that she has:

-Looked at my facebook pictures
-Read my facebook timeline the last few days
-She said she knows that I like to "sex text" because she saw a post I made a few days ago joking about it.

Now she wants to set up all these dates. She wants to know my schedule of when I am available. I joked that I was a "Shy guy turned ladies man". She now has been rather bristled by this and says she doesn't like a man with ego. I just ignored that and said it was just a "fact". Now she's being very aggressive asking about dates. She is asking if I will keep seeing all the ladies. I told her yes until I am officially dating a girl.

Anyway, is this all normal? Is it normal for a girl to want to know everything about a man? To study his social media and try to get a sense of what he's doing in life?

First, I don't necessarily agree with his assessment of himself but I've learned not to argue with people about such things. I think he is the kind of guy who is the salt of the earth, who will one day be an excellent husband and father, the kind of guy that a girl will be married to for 58 years until the day he or she dies, and they will make beautiful nerd babies together. But he obviously feels like a square peg in a round hole world and that is a heavy burden!

Anyway. . . do you consider yourself to be one of those nerdy, introverted, socially awkward, eccentric weirdo girls who would be interested in a guy who thinks the same of himself, or do you know of someone else who would date a guy who fits the nerd profile? Even if you are not the quintessential nerd girl, would you date such a guy? Where should my friend look for girls who potentially would be receptive to his romantic interest?

been friends with her for years but she started acting differently towards me. In a group, she always wanted to be around me, talked about me to others, highlighted my positive traits, kept asking me questions, went into deep conversations with me, made sexual jokes, interrupted conversations i was having with others so she could talk to me, laughed at all my jokes, walked close to me with her arms touching mine. And I never noticed any of this.

Then months later, when I noticed and started liking her too, I started texting too much, making plans to see her alone too much without ever asking her on a proper date, highlighted my negative traits, was too agreeable and became her therapist by asking her questions and listening to all her problems.

She rarely texts me first, never initiates plans, she’s nervous and I can’t have moments of prolonged eye contact with her anymore. We just see each other once a week and I always make the plans.

I guess I got stupid once. I'm now nearly 25 and think differently. I'll share my story though and feel free to judge.

I was 19 at the time but felt beyond my years. In my mind she was the one. I've been withholding for several weeks what I wanted to tell her (practicing the script next to a mirror) till I couldn't hide it anymore. I expressed it all. I took the plunge and was willing to risk it all. There was no prior conversation. It was me asking if she saw herself getting old with me permanently, spend her life with me. She knew exactly what I was referring to.

We were dating for a year at the time and she didn't feel the same. I've dealt with rejections before but this one felt very different. It it was like a rejection of the highest level and I felt embarrassed and stupid. I felt like an idiot for taking the relationship that serious. I noticed she tried her best to not hurt me but all I heard was a long explained rejection, a detailed no.

Our relationship never recovered and we only dated for 3 more months, then called it quits. Nevertheless was it stupid asking a girl that question at that age? I never shared this to anyone except my best friend. It's usually girls that get serious first but I literally caught her by surprise.
