Recently I was dumped by a girl I had been dating for a little over a month. She told I would have been great for her except I am 2 years younger than her and she is looking for a husband (clearly older than her). She wants to settle down at 28, have a husband and kinds. While dumping me, she tells me that she is going to be actively searching for a man. And adds that when she does that, it does not take long to find one. Exactly one week after we broke up, I see pics of her with a much older and richer guy. He owns a house on the beach, a fancy car etc. and is some kind of DJ at local clubs.

At that moment I felt like a sore loser. She already got together with another guy while I am just barely getting any numbers from girls. I am trying not to be depressed but God, it sucks to be me in this situation.

I am just wondering if girls ever come back in this situation. If she came back, would you take her back if you were in my shoes?

So I've notice once a woman is financially secure in herself in life, to the point that money no longer is a factor and she can live comfortably she tends to go and pick hot guys like this for her boyfriend. I see this often with doctors, lawyers, and basically women who have good jobs that they are capable of supporting themselves without the need of another person.
There was even question a few months back where the question was asked "Should women start dating down?", a couple of guys brought up example in their life where an older woman who was financially secured opted to get a hot, young stud to be her man.

I often wonder whether women picking men who aren't 8/10+ in looks came from a survival basis based on this. What i'm getting at is if a woman is in a position where money is no longer a problem she goes for goes with good genetics. While if a woman is in a position where money is still a factor and is needed to help make a stable life for herself she will dip lower in the type of guy she actual wants and go for men sometime less attractive that her.

She may not only go for less attractive men for money but for security of knowing he won't leave her if she is more attractive than him or the best he can do.


However, hypergamy dictates women more often will always want a male who makes a higher salary than her and has a higher social status.

E. g. Nurse wants to date the doctor.
