In this day and age transgender is the new gay. We have programmes telling us 5 yr olds aren't comfy in their own skin.

Do you believe transgender is as common as it seems? And do you agree with the surgery?

Personally, I believe especially with young children that it's bad parenting. Hell, I wanted to grow up to be a boy because that's how I thought it worked (I'm the youngest of 5, only brothers). But I was told I was a girl for life. I wasn't upset, that's just how it goes.
But nowadays we have programmes saying 5 year olds want to be a different gender and to me it's lazy parenting. Parenting is about teaching, and that includes telling your child what they are. Now don't get me wrong, I believe transgender is a real issue that is demonstrated with older people.

Furthermore the surgery. Let's be honest, it's not pretty. In a rare few cases put aside, I think the average person must be pretty mentally ill to consider doing that. It's mutilation put simply. But nowadays everyone seems to be thinking it's the cool new thing. It's honestly nothing I would wish on anyone, it makes my cringe just thinking.

Relationships. Let's say you genuinely did feel wrong, you got "fixed" and now you are ready for love. Can you blame someone for not wanting to be with you like that? Mentally for you it was a big step to go through, imagine springing that on someone else who had no say? It's conflicting because are they dating a male or a female? Do you go with the birth gender or the aftermath gender?

So after my mini rant (sorry) do you agree with transgender? I believe it's a problem for a slim few but I think many it's not genuine. But I may be wrong?
