Sometimes I’d like to give trouble a taste of its own medicine

I’d take a knife to that fight, a taser, a gun,

and even then it’d still probably win

it seems

Indiana Jones couldn’t even kick trouble in the shin

and its a sin

how many times we’ve mastered our fantasies but

felled them on a sword in execution

There’s a tremble, it’s terrible and shakes the foundations of your soul

making you drink in alleys sometimes

other times clinging for life on a stripper pole

But we’ve all got to pay for college some way

and it can’t all be on a silver platter

because if you get a taste for it

whole other problems arise

to become the matter

At hand, we’ve got ten digits used mostly to turn off the lights

left on too long by people who needed comfort in these dim

nights, a blue sky and sunny day can never come fast enough

when the measure of a man is shallow, what people do next

to him’s going to feel rough

and

even though we’re not all on the suit and tie high

we’ve got dignity worth preservation

outside of the box, because inside is where we shit the most

We’re viruses with shoes and these bodies are the host

Trembling, manufacturing goals and taking different bribes

off different doles

accruing rolex watches or rolls of fat and in seconds flat it’s decided

what we’ve dreamt up

is ultimately derided,

by others if it succeeds

and if you fail by

yourself, when it bleeds.

I reached my goal of 10,000 points here and have decided to take a break. I thank all who were a part of helping me achieve this goal :)

This website is dominated by people under the age of 30. My time here has taught me a lot of your generation and the things you are dealing with. At the same time many of the things you post are very similar to my world when I was in this age group. What really surprised me are the responses to the many of my sexual replies from my personal sexual life to this point. On the path to the 10,000 point goal only one person turned me in and had my comment removed. Could your grandpa say the same? lol

My amazingly large number of my posts that were selected as the Most Helpful surprises me just as the people who ask if my age really is true. It is.

My question is this... Do you think members of the baby boomer generation are too old and out of touch with your generation to be helpful here or are we, as a group, welcome?
