In my experience any time a talk with a liberal, who actually were responsible for free speech and free-speech is a liberal idea, they block me the instant I say something that goes against their political narrative.

Even when I disagree with a conservative here, I don't have that issue and can't recall having one either.

For the block feature specifically, a lot of intellectual cowards on this website use it as a pseudo-trump card and to not have to face the consequences of their speech. They post an inflammatory answer or reply to you and then block you immediately so you never get a chance to respond because they don't want their worldview or perspective challenged; they want to say whatever they please to you but don't want that same treatment. They will also block you immediately to make it appear as if they dunked on you, because if you never get a chance to reply, it ostensibly appears as if they won the argument and you had no rebuttal. Or they will block you immediately because they know they are arguing against someone more well equipped and they don't want to lose. In the free exchange of ideas, that's intellectual cowardice and a sign of you not being able to defend your positions. You're just looking to reinforce your own beliefs and be a cunt while doing.

And my main problem with the anonymous feature is also cowardice. 95% of the time, this feature is used to make racist, sexist and just generally xenophobic posts. Again, it's people not wanting to be held responsible for their speech.
