If you aren't familiar with this concept, the conspiracy against humanity basically suggests that life sucks so bad for such a large percentage of the population, that we should just all stop having kids because we are simply bringing more suffering into the world. Once we stop reproducing, humanity will eventually die out, and no one will have to deal with the hardships of life anymore such as school, jobs, natural disasters, grief over a loved one. The list goes on. The entertainment industry only confirms that reality has more negative to offer then positive, in comparison to fictional stories. In movies and tv shows, the characters are experiencing a much less boring life then us, and any dilemma that takes place in the plot will be sure to be resolved by the end. The characters are almost always successful in their quest, which makes us have unrealistic expectations for reality and ultimately disapointed when it doesn't work out the same, but symotaniously, those same unrealistic events provide an escape route from our less fulfilled lives making us happier. Also, humanity has done nothing but slowly destroy the planet for as long as we have been here due to our heavy demands and consumption of resources.
From another perspective you could tell me that just because MY life sucks doesn't mean everyone's does. One person's life sucking doesn't define everyone's. If so, what do you think the solution is to such a small portion of humanity actually having good luck and not experiencing some level of sorrow on a daily basis. I personally cannot be satisfied with how limited life has been to me.

"There are, of course, other less violent forms of the popular unrest. There is the passion for movement and speed, expressed especially in the veritable cult of the automobile (we have already noted this passion in Hitter); the universal appeal of television and cinema, whose most frequent function is to provide a few hours of escape from reality, both by their eclectic and "exciting" subject-matter and by the hypnotic effect of the media themselves; the increasingly primitive and savage character of popular music and of the perhaps more authentic expression of the contemporary soul, "jazz", the cult of physical prowess in sport, and the morbid worship of "youth" of which it is a part; the prevalence of and general permissiveness towards sexual promiscuity, condoned by many supposedly responsible elders as indicative of the "frankness" of contemporary youth and as being merely another form of the "open," "experimental" attitude so much encouraged in the arts and sciences; the disrespect for authority fostered by a popular attitude that sees no values but the "immediate" and "dynamic" and leads the most "idealistic" of youth into demonstrations against "repressive" laws and institutions.
