My first take is about the "white privilege" theory and why it's just a trick that is poisoning the political debate in western countries. Definitely a must-read!
1. This theory ignores the complexity of the "white race" and its groups.
"Whiteness" is just an umbrella term for a big and diverse group of people. That means there are many differences between its groups and cultures, often rivals to each other. Hungarians x Romanians, Brits x Poles, Brits x Irish, Serbs x Bosniaks, Croatians x Serbs, Germans x French and everyone x Russians. There's definitely an in-group favoritism but it's not set out by racial similarity per se. A brit can reject a job application from a polish candidate and...they are both white. All of that theory is built on subjective claims that are just impossible to be proven.
2. The relations between the elites and the poor whites never were a big deal.
The white race is not an united "group" and certainly is not conspiring against POC. We don't get together in a big conference hall somewhere and, rubbing our hands with devilish glee, conspire as to how we're gonna get ourselves some'a that there white privilege. In fact, the elites have never been in favor of the interests of poor white people. In some US states, the poll tax voting was legal until 1964. I'm not denying that there's a kind of racial bias in the social relations. But no one calls a "jewish privilege" or "chinese privilege" when those respective groups favour their own, and that's can be better explained by the in-group/out-group biases. That's backed by evolutionary psychology indeed.
3. "White men need not apply" is not OK. It is racial discrimination.
4. Some minorities outperform whites on social success.
East-asians, Indians, Jewish and Middle-Easterners have the highest average household income in the USA. East-Asians and Indians have almost the same average income of whites in UK. If white people tried to conspire to oppress minorities... They are not so much competent. And Asians faced discrimination in the USA. Especially the americans of japanese-descent during the 30s and 40s.
5. No one can explain what "white privilege" really means.
When we ask "what is white privilege" we will get subjective answers in 100% of the cases. Three hypothesis: A. This theory is a scam and it was planned exactly to brings up confusion. B. The left-wing activists failed to teach what that really means, in that case they are incompetents and unworthy to credibility. C. The liberal ideology tends to attract people not so much smart to understand their own philosophy.
6. I'm not denying social differences indeed.
I'm not talking about what it should be but what it is. Reality, not theory. Also, it is pointless because the privilege theory tends to reduce political argument to moral appeal and personal feelings, in which who is saying something often becomes more important than what they are saying. This is a very pessimistic and disarming theory: seeing individuals as unable to escape their prejudices or their role in the oppression of others.
7. The scam.
Tactics used to shame people on racial criterion are hateful and unacceptable. In fact, the "white privilege" theory is used as a stick to make people feeling guilty about their own skin color. In reality we see social activists getting presumptions, paranoia, shout-downs, and power plays. There’s no intent to persuade, only bully and shame on racial basis. White privilege indoctrination in schools can be harmful and make children be more prone to the "battered-child syndrome", in fact, it have a more specific name: the Oslo Syndrome. Guilty people are easiest to manipulate (religious leaders know it, and politicians too).
8. CLAIM: black men get longer sentences for the same federal crime as white men.
REALITY: a lot of other relevant factors are involved in the execution of the "same crime". Is the defendant a repeat offender? There was violence involved? Have the defendant a record of antisocial behaviour (even if not criminal)? We can't put singular events into statistics without oversimplifying the complexity of the issue. However, social class is important to this analysis because rich defendants can pay best lawyers and it definitely might easier the criminal process to them.
9. Flawed at the very beginning.
The theory of "white privilege" was created by communist activists as an extension of the class struggles. The first was an communist activist named Noel Ignatiev in his "Race Traitor" magazine, then a more "elaborated" study from Peggy McIntosh, a Harvard Gender's Studies professor, much of both works was inspired by W. E. Du Bois, a communist activist.
10. The real social performance killer.
Broken families are almost a killer to social success. Black americans that came from stable families have a much better social performance than the other blacks (from broken families) and white anericans (from broken families too). This reality has nothing to do with "race" per se.
