Search Results: double trouble

My relationship ended recently, because my ex-boyfriend and I had trouble seeing a future together that would be successful. A few months ago a met this guy at work. He is extremely sweet and gorgeous. I had to do a double take when I saw him. I decided not to go up and introduce myself, like I woulda normally done in the past, because I still had a boyfriend at the time. He ended up looking for me and introducing himself to me! I blushed, which is something I haven't done over a guy since middle school.

This guy was kinda pursing me. We work at a nursing home, and he used to work third shift, but he would come in the morning. I'm pretty sure he made excuses to come in at work to bump into me. His grandma was also there and he would visit with her. We usually ended up talking to each other a long time, and having some nice conversations. The conversations ended up being long and the grandma didn't like it. Later on she grew to like me though and I had some nice conversations with her after that. I even met his dad and got to talk to him. When I bumped into his dad one day he asked if his son and I had spoken recently.

When his grandma passed, I was really upset about it too. I ended up asking a coworker for his number and texted him. A few days later I got a friend request from him. The day before I broke up with my boyfriend, I noticed that he was in some pictures with a girl. From what the girl posted it sounded like she thought they could have a future together. I don't think he's "officially" dating this girl, because of his status and he didn't post or like anything on the pictures. They also may have gone on a trip together. The timing was just aweful! I really wanted to get to know this guy and possibly date him.

So my question is.. Should I text this guy to start a conversation, ask him to get some coffee or lunch, or just not message him.

Also if you do think I should text him, what should I say? and how do I mention I am now single?

There are 2 guys in my life currently who I do NOT understand.

Guy #1, in person, acts VERY much like he has a crush on me. He either starts showing off or gets very quiet and nervous the moment he notices that I entered the room. Always one extreme or the other, usually getting shy and nervous, considering around his friends he's very outgoing and chatty. He hovers near me and you can sense that he wants to say something, but for whatever reason, he usually doesn't. He looks at me constantly from across the room, but when he's close to me he has trouble with eye contact and tends to look at the ground. Initiated first meeting by complimenting me and shaking my hand and it definitely seemed like he'd rehearsed it a lot beforehand. Stumbles on his words when talking to me, and others tell me his voice changes slightly and he looks at me differently.

BUT, he seems to avoid me when his friends are nearby, and if I contact him through the internet, he denies my friend request and my emails seem to be purposely ignored. But the next time I see him in person, he'll do a double take, look at me a lot, sit near me, and if I say hi to him he gets a really big, genuine, cute smile. Huh?

Guy #2 basically doesn't talk to me at all, seems generally awkward around me (or just women in general, maybe), doesn't look at me much unless I'm near him. I always sort of felt like he thought I was pretty or something by the way he looked at me, but there was never anything else that resembled crush behavior. Recently I found out that he apparently had quite a strong crush on me. Because he asked and found out that I don't have any feelings for him, immediately started avoiding me and then unfriended me on Facebook. Which is very unlike him.

So basically, I don't know what to think. One guy acts like he has a crush on me and then acts like he doesn't. The other does NOT act like he does, but apparently he does... anyone have any thoughts on what'
