I'm 17. A senior. I'm being a pegasus for Halloween. There are some people who dress up at school for Halloween but a lot of people don't. I haven't dressed up for Halloween at school since 7th grade. My my friends aren't dressing up for school either.

I texted my crush out of the blue "if you were a vegetable, you'd be a cutecumber" and he responded less than a minute later "haha, back at ya! are you dressing up for halloween?" then we proceeded to talk about our costumes, but about 15 minutes into the conversation, he told me he had to go eat dinner and would see me around. But it's 9:50 pm? Who eats dinner this late? And if he is dodging me, why would he respond and then ask a question to continue the conversation?

I love all things dark, dress darkly, do my makeup influenced by 90's gothic scene.. I love autumn and the aura and idea of Halloween, but I won't be going out or dressing up for it because I really have grown to not like doing so. It is so mainstream that so many people that are out and about, dressing up and at parties, are people I would never want to spend time with in person. And they dress up for the attention they hope to get or just to pretend to be creepy and weird and I find it kind of mocking to my self, since I am dark in nature and to me it's just annoying. I'd much rather watch horror flicks at home with my cats. Anyone else not going out because you don't want to?
