Not only are you STILL YOUNG... you're not even a fully developed individual mentally.

Yeah, I'm 53 and so you'd expect me to say that. But I remember when I was 22 and was considering a relationship with a 19 year old girl and I remember thinking... "she's way too young!" Because she just had no life experience - not that I was any great wise man myself at the time but... still, she was very young and naive.

Depends on who you ask.

If you ask a 10 year old, they'll be like WOOOOOOOOAHHHHHHHHHH

If you ask a 40 year old, then even a 28 year old is young

If you ask a 55 year old, they'll say even a 40 year old is "still young"

19 years old is practically a baby in this society:

• They have not obtained higher education or skill sets.
• They do not know themselves yet- nobody does at 19.
• They are not usually financially independent or living alone in the west.
• No 19 year old holds strong understandings of how the world works- nothing can replace first-hand experience.
• They have yet to meet more mature individuals- they've been mostly stuck with only communicating with others their age and authority figures.
• Most 19 year olds aren't even capable of handling a relationship nowadays- they're too focused on sex rather than stability!!
• If they had not been exposed to education yet, odds are they are overconfident and arrogant because they had not yet realize they aren't special- university especially is a humbling experience.

The answer to that would depend on the age of the person you asked. A 5 yr old would call you old. A 65 yr old would call you a kid. I'd call you a young woman. The general perception would be that you're still young. I think most people consider middle-age to begin around 40 or so

I'm 28 and to me someone of 19 is young, mentally and in life experience. But the people I work with who are 35 call me young so as you can see it's all relative.

I think of a person as being young for the most part as long as their body and mind are healthy.

My cousin's wife (who is also 31 like me) was told she was old a few years ago. A bunch of us (her included) were surprised when the kid said that. We don't think she is old at all, so it took a bunch of us by surprise quite a bit. But then we realized this was a teenager (late teens).
