after reading the submissions I believe she trying to convey that she is not controlled but neither am I we make decisions based on a compromise between us both and lets face it fellas your not happy unless your girl is happy

I agree with Hummingbird but that's a pretty specific way to put it. If I say I'm wearing the pants in the relationship, I'm generally just saying that I'm the one who is dominant/in control between the two of us. Whether or not I want you to run my life would be up to me.

My cousin wears the pants in her relationship but she likes it when her boyfriend takes charge in social situations. By her wearing the pants, it means she's the one who figures out where the relationship is going and who is right in the arguments etc.

it has one meaning to me, that she wears the pants in the relationship, usually guys control the relationship, the girl, the house and everything involved. she is saying she does so that means she doesn't want to be controlled, she might try to control the man's life if she could, but what's important to her is him not controlling hers!
