Why do people always remember my face?

I hadn't been to a place for like a year and the lady was like 'Oh! Hello you haven't been here for sometime' it's not like I went to the place everyday maybe I'd go once a month. Someone else was like 'I saw you at that birthday party' I never even spoke to him and I didn't even see him, and he didn't remember seeing my sister and she was there with me the entire time.

People also remember my face; even school teachers! And I was a very quiet kid and never any trouble, who are the ones I would think they would recognize instantly!

I was even walking home once, during the day, and I saw a guy doing some gardening work in his garden and didn't think anything of it. They I suddenly hear "Hello there! How are the glasses?" ... it was the owner of a glasses shop that had sold me, once, glasses which look like any regular glasses many years before! It was even the first time had ever stepped into that store, and that glasses store is the oldest glasses store in my city so it has had a lot of customers.

It's somewhat annoying because I'm bad with faces and names (luckily I don't think the glasses guy knew my name because I don't think I told him)

Well, I'm definitely not bad looking, but I'm not a model and never have been. But I would not say I'm strikingly good looking, just slightly above average at best. But I'm embarrassingly shy, which is why I picked out very generic glasses because I just generally want to blend in wherever I am and not be noticed

It's probably not you, but them being able to remember faces pretty easily. I'm awful with names, but I can remember faces without a problem.
