Do guys like it if you wear their favorite color?

I'm going to a party, and this guy I like is coming. I can ask him what his favorite color is by text. Should I text him and ask? One of my friends is wondering the same thing. Will he even notice, or answer the question?

I don't think he'll care at all or notice but I know my moms husband has a thing for brown, and every time my mom and I go bathing suit shopping, she has to get a BROWN swim suit because he likes brown a lot!
