Does brunette seem sexy and blond innocent?(I don't mean playboy bleach blond here) Of course it always depends a lot on the individual girl, is there a trend?

Cheryl Cole link and Katie Cassidy link always ranked somewhat high, and they are all brunette. Basically the top 20 is dominated by brunettes, while about 2/3 of all female cleberitys are blond. So would you say that's coincidence or is brunette more sexy?

It's not that one hair color is superior... It's simply there are more brunettes in the world than there are blondes. Therefore, there are more hot brunettes than hot blondes. There are many genes that contribute to hair color, so technically this statement won't be completely correct.. but generally blond is a recessive gene, whereas brunette is a dominate gene.

So if there are 3 billion brunettes and 1 billion blondes (hypothetical figures), you would expect 10% from each group to be considered "hot" or well beyond average in looks. So 300 million hot brunettes and 100 million hot blondes.. Or 3 hot brunettes for every hot blonde.

Conclusively, it has nothing to do with hair color. Just population size.

True, only about less than 10 % of this world population is natuarly blond, but there are certain chemicals that help.Actually I have like 8 friends that are blond but none of them is a natural blonde.Plus those magazines don't rank everday people, they rank celebrities, and the majority of celebrities is blond, even though its almost always dyed.

The small amount of girls who dye there hair blond, does not account for the much higher percentage of girls who are brunette rather than blond. After all, blondes dye their hair brunette as well. It's not a one way street. There are still significantly more brunettes than blondes. And most celebrities are brunette, you just don't realize it. For a simple random sample, just go to google images and search celebrities. You'll see that a significantly higher percentage of brunette's pop up.

I think it was in cosmo a while ago, but not sure could have been vogue too. Anyways they listed the 1000 most known women in America and their hair colors, like 650 of them were blond and the rest dark haired. Was a small article on the first pages. Not saying cosmo or vogue was the most reliable source in the world but its something

That is not a correctly done statistical survey... They selected the most known women (based on their opinion) knowing they were counting hair color in the process.. The researchers were bias in their selection. You have to also take in consideration their definition of celebrity which could be bias itself. Celebrities = famous people. And yet I bet they didn't include politicians. But I bet they included p*rn stars (which would up the blond count, cause they are purposely blonde).

Here's a list of top 100 most famous girls.. And guess what, most of them are brunette. And I bet you none of them showed up in that top 1000 most known list (because it was bias)!

Maxim's hot list does NOT prove brunettes are hotter. Just that there are more brunettes than blondes. There's no detesting it.

Grr you are giving me a hard time here aye.Well this list ranks the most well known women in history. They were scientist,politicians,pioneer of their field, but the thought that Elizabeth Blackwell was one of the most famous women in america is rather utopic.This list and the 1 in cosomo are talking bout 2 diffrent things,diffrent methology.And its kinda hard to tell if they are blond because a lot of them died before WW2. There certainley are more natural brunettes than blondes

I don't think celebs are an accurate indication of what's sexy because they are part of a huge industry and media complex that basically prescribes trends and looks. They are going to tend to typecast brunettes as sexy and blondes as innocent or whatever.

I think in real life, different guys find various girls sexy or innocent based on way more than hair color.

I really like blond women, that does mean I don't like brunette. I've been with lots of brunettes so I'd like blond a lot more. And coming to that list, yeah brunettes have more appeal, because they look a lot more exotic. I'd marry Kate Beckinsdale <3 if I could! Most important thing is if they can pull it off, for example, Kim is a brunette , she went blond, well, I didn't like that idea, because she didn't look good.
