Is the LFL sexy or sexist?

These girls wear almost no padding so they are very prone to getting critical injuries and they aren't paid (they have to pay a $45 registration fee to get in). These women are fierce and work hard.

I personally have mixed feelings. I feel like the conditions in which they play are pretty shit considering they don't get paid and can get really badly hurt due to their "uniform". However, I like the women put themselves out there to play a tough sport.

The fact that they aren't paid probably has more to do with the fact that hardly anyone watches the LFL. I literally had never heard of it until I saw this question. If it becomes more popular, I'm sure the players will start getting paid.

As for what they're wearing... well, the Legends Football League used to be the Lingerie Football League, so this is a step up from that.

How do they players feel about what they wear? Do they want to dress more like NFL players? Or are they just glad to not be literally playing in their underwear anymore?

How do the fans feel about what they wear? Do they watch games to see well-played football, or to see bouncing female flesh?

Is the LFL sexist? I guess it all depends.

Doesn't seem sexist to me, but definitely not good. It doesn't seem like they're trying to degrade the women, just that they wanted something entertaining for superbowl halftime and then it became it's own thing because people liked it. Is it sexist to see attractive male models in magazines for women? Companies use whatever will attract our attention in order to make money, including our attraction to other humans, it isn't sexist, it's just shady.

I don’t think it’s sexy , but I don’t necessarily think it’s sexist either. Girls running around half naked can be a sexy thing to men and women but playing football just makes it weird. I do admire the girls for playing a rough sport and hopefully they’re enjoying themselves

I think they are wearing too little and that makes me think they are trying to appeal to men. They are genuine athletes though so I give them respect for that.

Personally I don't find it really sexy, but it's fun to watch as it's not really meant to be professional and serious.
