What's it mean when a guy's tone in his voice changes around you?

Well,this has been going on since November but um.. This 1 guy I'm friends with is always like peppy around all of his friends,including the girls. But when it comes to me,his voice gets calm&he tries to sound sweet towards me? so like why is that?

Well, I do that sometimes, too. I'm usually pretty upbeat and humorous around most people, but around some I tend to calm down and be a bit more serious, as it were. In my case, at least, it doesn't have anything to do with romantic feelings, just that it feels more naturally to speak that way around some people, both guys and girls.

It's the same as physical contact. The touch is a more natural thing to do with some people, like a backrub, squeezing a friend's shoulder, pat someone's back, hug, that sort of thing, it doesn't necessarily mean I'm harbouring feelings.

My ex boyfriend use to be like that. Its a good thing. It shows that he's more comfortable around you and doesn't feel like he has to be someone else. If he sweet talks you as well then I'd say there's a good chance he has feelings towards you.
