You keep talking about all the bad parts about Islam but there is equivalent comparisons with Christianity in for example USA. Its hardly unusual for someone to be murdered in USA on Christian religious grounds as gay people or when they fire bomb abortion clinics etc..

Erdogan keeps being chosen in Turkey by election because 70 percent of people in Turkey are religious right wing if not more.

In countries such as Saudi Arabia which are ruled by Islam, punishment for leaving Islam is death.

And yes muslims take religion more seriously than christians. Muslims in Turkey also take religion more seriously than christians, not only Iran or Arab countries.

@Vivaldi Religion is very powerful in USA as well. USA has never had a president who is not either openly a Christian or refused to specify. They also have literally "in god we trust" printed on their money, wants to put up the 10 commandments in court houses and public schools, teach religious propaganda in schools like creationism as well as ban evolution for being "anti christian" etc..

They are far more similar than what you are prepared to admit.

Erdoğan lowered the interest only because it is a sin in Islam. This caused turkish money to lose value and dollar getting higher in the country, which means life getting more expensive.

Since it is a sin in Islam, he is doing it wrong because interest getting lowered is still a sin. Erdoğan should have completely erased the interest.

@Vivaldi Again, USA has analogues to all of these. First of all, the whole interest thing is more a conspiracy theory than a widely accepted Islamic belief and as we all know, Americans LOVE themselves some conspiracy theories, including in politics with recently a bunch of anti-vaccine bills passed after Covid19, partially fueled by Christian extremism as many of the conspiracy theories is grounded in Satan.

You can go on about how Erdogan ruined the Turkish economy but I can count the number of lives lost due to Christian conspiracy theories.

Christianity also has profound effects on people who are not Christian in USA such as their new attempts to ban abortion and outlaw gay marriage. Both movements spearheaded by Christian extremism and argued to be a "sin".

Again, they are VERY similar in actuality.
