+1 yI would like to be from switzerland. My life would be easier, fresh vegetables, great opportunities and beautiful lands to watch. I am from Guatemala, a small and beautiful country in the center of America. there's a lot of corruption in our government, if you research, you will find that we have one of the most corrupted governments in the world. So there is a lot of poverty and delinquency here. Anyway, I love my lands. there are beautiful landscapes, delicious vegetables as well and people is sooo warm and nice here. No comparison. Also we party a lot here in Guatemala and there are very luxurious places so if you would like to visit sometime, this country is very great and cheap to travel and stay

ooohh i wish :D i heard great things about there.. yet its expensive for me to just get there :D not even saying to come back :D

+1 yJust because live in America, don't mean just American. I'm German and Irish and wouldn't change that. As for living in another country, I'd maybe live in Ireland or Greece. But I'd still stay German and Irish 🙂

It's a peculiarity unique ( I think?) to Americans that most people seem to know the heritage of their families - and I don't mean that in a bad way, I'm just trying to think of any country I've been to where if you were to ask the person where they were from (assuming of course they were born in the USA) that after their City/State they'd say (for example!) 'Irish American' or 'German/Iris/Dutch'.
I've been to Canada, but I don't recall them having the same level of interest, other than of course 'French Canadian'! Mind you, that was a rugby tour, so the amount of Molson's I think I got though, I really can't remember that much about Canada at all!!! - +1 y
@Jamie1865 well jamie :D most Canadians are either British or french :) and you can make a distinction between them fairly easy.. language.. french Canadians mostly speak french, and British Canadians mostly speak English..
that being said.. USA is worlds one of the biggest reciever of imigration, also they embrace their ancestry..
we dont have those kinda stuff in other parts of the world.. you can't see anyone in the latino america going 'hey im Spanish' :D cuz they identify themselves as Colombian (ie) or venezuellan :) they dont have the same diversity usa does :) - +1 y
True, but I don't identify my self as a 'Norse/Anglo Saxon/Celtic Dane', and people who are second generation British don't identify themselves as ' x/British', just British? Like I said, just curious.
The only people that it seems to annoy (that I know of) are the Irish! I've got some friends from Belfast who now live and work in New York, and though technically Brits, these lads are red headed, Celtic supporting, Catholics - so to say they are 'Irish republicans' would be a bit of an understatement.
The NUMBER of fights one of them in particular (Davy) has gotten into by getting pissed off with people who identify as 'Irish American' in NYC, coming upto him and asking him how things are 'back in the home country' when they hear his accent (and it turns out most of 'em have never left NYC, let alone NY State) is hilarious to hear about (all real Irishmen tell a good yarn!) because they start spouting off about politics and this and that, which winds Davy up like a clock spring - he then sparks up about their 'tenuous' claim to being 'Irish' because your 'Cousins friends sisters grandmother had a cleaner who knew a guy who was married to someone who adopted an Irish Wolfhound' and the fact that you have the odd pint of Liffey water in 'Paddy O'flagherties' DOES NOT give you the right to call yourself Irish American, 'ya daft cunt' (massive bar brawl ensues) :D :D :D - +1 y
@Jamie1865 irish people are proud :)
Where I AM FROM!! The US!! Maybe some hate our current President, and some of his ideas, and things he has done, but that doesn't diminish what the US stands for, and the Freedoms, and Rights!!

Jacky.. i didn't say you should hate your country :D its a silly question. which is the second best for your opinion?
- +1 y
@An_Impulse Who said ANYTHING about 'Hate'? Why are you saying that, when I NEVER said anything about "Hating" anything!! Don't post incorrect paraphrases and then shit on me when I didn't say what you interpreted!!

+1 yI'm happy with being from the USA.
15 Reply- +1 y
that was not the question :D but thanks :)
- +1 y
I mean that I'm happy with it as in I like being from here and don't really have any desire to have been born anywhere else.
- +1 y
you dont have to have desire.. its not the question here :) like i am not asking 'do you have any desires to be from anywhere else but your country'
it was a silly question you could answer somewhere from your country too.. lets say you are from boston, and you could say 'well im from boston but i would love to be from chicago' - +1 y
I'm not sure I'd like to be from anywhere else, really. I guess if I had to pick somewhere different, maybe Kentucky? I visited there several years ago and it was beautiful, lots of rolling acres everywhere.
- +1 y
okay :D this question was not for you then :D its alright tho :D kentucky is good :D
+1 yIf I couldn't be American? I guess Canada will do

why greece? :P
- +1 y
Strong family values, sexy men, great food, long enriched history, beautiful language, etc, etc
- +1 y
weird :D i am basicly right there.. and i didn't see none of it :D
- +1 y
Well I've seen it and loved it lol
- +1 y
And greek food is 👌
- +1 y
okay :D good then :P
- +1 y
Also, unless your gay or bi, I dont expect you to find greek men sexy lol
- +1 y
no no :D not emotionally.. i dont feel attracted to the men i find sexy. i would say brad pitt is handsome but it doesn't mean i am bi.. or i'd say you look beautifull that doesn't mean i would want to see funny parts of you right? :D
what about turkey? - +1 y
I'm not into turkish culture so unfortunately no
- +1 y
Also, I feel like wed clash to mich, atelast from what I've seen with my Turkish friends.
- +1 y
i mean :D they are basicly the same, just different language.. both have same food same kind of men same attidute towards life.. :D
- +1 y
i didn't get 'wed clash to mich' ? what does it mean :D
- +1 y
Not same kind of life at all lol
Greek men are typically Catholics and I'm happy with that and while they might like a more traditional woman aren't as strict as with turkish values. Considering most of turkey is of Muslim faith, their views and values clash to much with my own - +1 y
well :D you are wrong there :D greece is mostly christian but orthodox :) not catholics. big big difference.
- +1 y
Meh, not really. But still can work better than turkish. Catholics and Christians aren't really that different, minus a few different belief systems. But it basically runs the same.
- +1 y
so you are basicly puritanical. :D good to know :)
- +1 y
Not even. Just no use being with a guy who wants me to wear a hijab
- +1 y
Everyone has their own beliefs and all that, just not worth being with a man who goes to far against what I believe and goes against my lifestyle
- +1 y
okay you are not aware of any demographics of either greece or turkey :D not everyone in turkey wears hijab, i just wanted to make it clear :D
i hope you do educate yourself in future :) - +1 y
Considering turkey is majority lead by the muslim community, most women would wear hijabs. But have fun✌

@hknmhmn4 what you on about?
- +1 y
@hknmhmn4 okay stay away from me please?
- +1 y
@hknmhmn4 Not in EU mate, we'll let you pay the debts for: Spain, Portugal, Greece, Italy and all the Eastern European member states. In fact, per CNN, the Dutch, Austrians, Finns and then majority of Germans are getting pissed off with bailing out Southern Europe. This will be interesting to watch... Who will jump ship next? If Germany leaves - that's it - the EU is finished. 26 member states, and only FOUR net creditors - and the French have been cooking their books...
