How can people go to large events unvaccinated now?

I was just at CPAC which I felt okay with because I got the vaccine and infections are dipping below 10 k a day. A lot of these people are idiot anti vaxxers. Pretty stupid to expose yourself like that unprotected.

What do you have 10,000 people at the entire event with maybe 1,000 people in a particular area for a popular speech. CPAC is a Republican event, thus the population consists of people with a lower likelihood of infection than a Democrat dominate event. In moderate population red counties you typically have about a 1 in 10,000 chance of running into a person with currently infected with COVID at any given time. In lower population areas the odd are much lower. High risk COVID areas are all Democrat dominate populations. So statistically worse case scenario is that maybe 1 person in the entire event was currently infected with COVID. That said they might not be symptomatic yet. Most people that attended the event would not come in direct contact or even close proximity to that one carrier. The risk is extremely low. In fact you were probably the biggest risk to the group being that you are a Democrat infiltrator that probably flew in from some big city where the odds are much higher per capita.
