Does anyone else regret getting the covid vaccine?

If I knew that I was being lied to about the effectiveness of the vaccine and that I would be expected to keep wearing a mask, social distancing, and getting an extra shot every several months while carrying a proof of vaccination and blaming other people who chose with their freedom to not get the vaccine I literally would not have got the damn thing.

I officially regret getting the vaccine. I went from making fun of people scared of it calling them paranoid schizophrenics to regretting it myself. Congrats libs.

So far, so good for me. No side effects, and if I’ve been infected since vaccination, I haven’t known it. It’s also opened the world back up in the ways I need it open (gyms and hockey rinks), so it’s been a good thing in my eyes. If I need a booster shot, I’ll need a booster shot. I only needed my vax card once to stay in an air b-n-b in New Hampshire back in June, due to a New Hampshire state law for out-of-state travelers. I wear a mask by choice to protect others when I’m indoors, since I play hockey and that’s a higher-risk activity. For myself, I’m just trusting in the vaccine and hoping I don’t get infected with a breakthrough case that requires medical attention. I think it’s important to be patient and understanding because this is still an ever-developing situation that experts don’t have all the answers to, they’re feeling their way through it and getting new information all the time, and making judgements based on that. I don’t think anyone is intentionally moving the goalposts on us just to fuck with us. I was hoping we could just get our shots and throw our masks out too, I’m sure most everyone was, but that’s just obviously not the reality, and we need to accept that and respond appropriately, not be guided by our emotions about the situation. Things seem to be improving, slowly but surely, and hopefully the winter isn’t too bad. The more people get vaccinated, the fewer hospitalizations we’ll have to deal with, and that right there is the whole issue, keeping hospitals and their personnel clear for other medical emergencies people face in everyday life. I don’t think anyone promised “perfect”, but I think we’re doing the best we can. Trump deserves credit for Operation Warp Speed, and Biden deserves credit for getting the vaccine out and distributed to the population. It’s not a political issue. So, no regrets here, but I’ll let you know if I start growing a leg out of my neck or something, haha.

Ok, I mean, I’m very pro-vaccine but I also don’t endorse forced vaccinations. I just wish people would get their information from their doctors and not some idiot on TV or the internet or social media. The decision from there should be up to the individual, but if you’re getting your information from the proper sources, I can’t imagine many people would protest.

So how are you, personally, feeling your freedom is being impinged on? Within the context of a world trying to curtail a serious pandemic, what is happening to you that amounts to much more than an annoyance like wearing a mask or social distancing? Serious question, not trying to be an asshole, I’m just curious what’s such an affront to your freedom. Or are you worried about things that you feel MIGHT happen in the future? I live in a liberal state, and even here I find it pretty lenient, relative to the circumstances, and even compared to “let ‘er rip” places like Florida I still don’t feel all that restricted. Might be different where you live, I don’t know. But here, masks are almost kind of a courtesy, particularly in places of business. Like it’s just kind of understood that it’s a dick move to go into someone’s job and not wear a mask when most of the employees and a lot of the customers are. You don’t get a hard time for NOT wearing a mask either, but I just personally wear one into stores as a public courtesy measure, since the CDC is back to recommending indoor masks, even though it probably doesn’t protect me so much as other people.

Anyway, I don’t think the government wants to force anyone to take it as much as they’re flabbergasted that this has become so political and such a culture war that people won’t do what’s the wise thing for most people to do and just take the vaccine. If FDA approval was an issue at first, I get the hesitation, but now Pfizer is approved, so I don’t know what else people are looking for, in my own opinion.

No side effects you've noticed. Of course there are often downstream consequences to these things. Have you gotten a D-dimer test? That's the only way to see the tiny blood clots in your lungs, if they're there as well (I say as well because so many are being found in the "vaccinated"). Did you know there's now evidence that "vaccination" likely permanently attenuates your ability to respond to variations of SARS-Cov-2? Because your body is now obsessed with what you've obsessed it with, a crude genetic engineering tool that sends RNA instructions to produce a cytotoxic protein. Real natural immunity (you know, the kind that actually lasts/works and that had 27x efficacy in Israel) covers all aspects of a virus, not a specific one. "It" hasn't opened the world up; the world was held hostage by power-hungry politicians and their big pharmaceutical donors, as well as these disgusting "stakeholder capitalism"-types that are trying to usher in a new corporate serfdom.

It's a joke that you treat their false premise as a reality. If you want to call these vaccines (since they don't inoculate or prevent transmission & they've made the numbers worse everywhere they've been widely distributed), you'd at least have to acknowledge that they're leaky vaccines, and epidemiologists of merit all over the world will tell you that you do not mass vaccinate with a leaky vaccine mid-pandemic, lest you suffer the Marek effect.

Surgical masks are meant to keep particles out of open wounds; they do not stop aerosolized viruses in any way, shape, or form, no matter what silly studies without those specifications they roll out now.

I like that you think you're so noble. You do realize that all they do is reduce the symptoms, right? So what happens is you get sick anyway, you don't know it, no one else can tell, and you are in that moment one of what you people have taken to calling "super-spreaders." Give it to people who are compromised, so it can actually work for them, instead of giving it to everyone at everything short of gunpoint and having it work against us. We're wrecking a nightmare of untold proportions on children, between the psychological damage of not being able to see faces and being told there's an invisible threat all around them (even though they rarely even show a symptom because it's so trivial when it contracts to them) and the side effects of the vaccine (ever wonder why the Nordic countries are starting to completely ban them for various groups? No? Probably not.) We've caused more deaths from starvation in the third world than we possibly have prevented here because we shut down the trade they depend on (since we're talking about SO FEW on the margin and we're talking about saving SO LITTLE of their time). The numbers for suicide, depression, etc. are through the roof; mental health is in shambles. The numbers of heart attacks and cancers are way up, probably from calling screenings "inessential" so we could focus on the narrative. Was calling every person who died "with Covid" a "Covid death" the best we could do? That's completely new, and it resulted in instances like the one where a guy died in a motorcycle crash and got added to the tally. The news is packed with fearmongering nonsense, as always, but we're going to pretend not to see it, just like we're all pretending to have forgotten we know Big Pharma is wholly immoral.

(2) The FDA's drug review budget is 75% funded by Big Pharma, among other donations. Did you know that? Do you know where all the CDC funding comes from? You haven't even considered the question, have you? Still feeling confident enough to aggressively defend vaccination online? If so, why? Just curious.

My father was vaccinated and I’m pretty sure it’s the only reason he made it to his 90th birthday, because my reckless idiot aunt infected both of us at Christmas. I experienced no symptoms, likely in part due to the vaccine, but my father got rocked with Covid-pneumonia plus the strain on his heart almost gave him a heart attack. I was there, man, I saw it all, and it was very scary. I didn’t think I’d be bringing him home when I dropped him off at the hospital, I’ve never seen him in such rough shape. With no vax, I feel comfortable saying he almost UNQUESTIONABLY died. Of course I can’t prove it by having the same guy suffer the same viral infection with and without it, he can’t be the test group and the control group at the same time, but just in my layman’s opinion…. thank god he didn’t listen to his FoxNews idiots and reject getting vaxxed.

I consider myself a progressive, been labeled democrat, socialist, etc. and I haven’t and don’t want to get the vaccine!
I’ve always approached my health and involvement in the healthcare industry with minimal non-natural interventions. I work hard to keep the homeostasis of my body as a functioning system that’s meant to work off a balance in the natural world. Nature has a lot of answers to our current health.
It sad because I feel the majority of individuals discussing this topic focus on things such as politics, freedom, rights, and wrongs, but honestly we need to view this from outside the human experience. We get to caught up in thoughts and feelings, we need to look at it globally and also consider other worldly issues.
Where am I going with this you ask?
If we consider the fact that we have been living with Coronavirus for way longer than most realize and it has mutated for hundreds probably thousands of years, but it mostly jumped around and lived in animals. With the continuing decline of animal species this virus has had no choice but to branch out.
The degradation of our environment and ecosystems is so incredibly linked to the bigger picture the underlining reason this was even possible and capable.
Humans are so smug and we aren’t willing to deal with the effects of what we took for granted. I realize our predecessors were naive and not as forward thinking as we needed them to be but it’s the price we have to pay from the things we have taken that’s disturbed the balance.
Nature will always try to balance itself, level itself, it’s essentially how it survives.

People who get the vaccine so that they can stop wearing masks and return back to normal I can’t understand. Many know that it’s bad, they know that they’re being coerced into getting the jab, and that if the jab requires coercion maybe it’s not about what’s best for them but that it’s about power. Yet they submit and take it anyway so that they can stop wearing a mask and go on holiday or whatever.

I can't say I regret it, but I did get really sick on the second shot, many of my family did. Some of us even had to be hospitalized over the 2nd shot, when they say side effects are really minor they must not of counted the tens of thousands of dollars in hospitalizations after getting the shot.

In fact, 95% of deaths have an average of 4 comorbidities. Chance of death, statistically speaking, approaches zero the younger and fitter you are. This will have much more influence, along with a healthy diet and exercise, plus some sunlight, than this genetic engineering experiment ever will. In fact, the "vaccines" lose what little efficacy they have (the mere reduction of symptoms) in a term of months. The reduction of symptoms leads to more widespread transmission, as people walk around contagious.

My favorite statistics is how unvaccinated people have an order of magnitude higher risk of death from covid than someone who has taken a vaccine. The vaccine does not stop the spread at all. Like 0%. What it does do is reduce your personal symptoms and shorten the time during which you are shedding the virus. That's who's at risk: the elderly, the immunocompromised, and frankly, the obese. Their risk-reward profile may prove to mean taking the vaccine is a good idea for them. Because of the Marek effect, which is a clear threat in these conditions, we should be wary of giving the vaccine out to people who will not need it. We should be especially wary of giving it to teenage boys, or really anyone in the vicinity, because studies show the vaccine is riskier for them than Covid-19 itself. That's because they experience the myocarditis/pericarditis complication the most, but I suspect that's the risk-reward profile for an awful lot of people they've either convinced or forced to take the vaccine. That's morally wrong and repugnant, no question about it.

I don't know if you call what's happening a pandemic. But I know none of this hubris about our capabilities or the way we look at treatment strictly in terms of profit potential is helping. Forget natural immunity and things like vitamin D and exercise; the agents of Pfizer and Moderna even initially tried to throw shade at Marek's pill.
