Not at ALL! lol. weather talking about self sacrifice during the sinking of the Titanic or the men getting blown to bits on D Day we are EXPENDABLE. No one cares about us. We can die tomorrow and life goes on. When a woman dies it's front page news, world headliners, etc. Men's feelings dont matter to society. Men being homeless isn't talked about, just women in that regard. Women are talked about in rape statistics and only a very few brave souls talk about male victims too. rape shelters will take in women who are victims but not men. Women can hit men, but men can't hit women (lets all keep our hands to ourselves unless its for loving use). Women are championed and men are vilified. The claim "Men held down women" while women stayed home with the kid while basically every civilization the men went off to die in a war or fight like animals for years at a time far away from home while the wives cheated on their husbands and all's the soldiers thought about was coming home to her and the kids. Yeah... really privileged...
women have their own struggles too. So what I'm getting at is neither gender is "privileged" or both are depending on how you look at it.

I hear a lot of people whining about gender and about privilege. Everyone wants to be a victim it seems.
What I don't see or feel is a sense of comradery or kinship that implies privilege. If I've benefited from the shadowy tendrils of some unspoken organisation so be it. I'll take what I can get. And so will the family I support.
What I know is how hard I've worked to get where I am and how hard I work to get on with the other humans in my life.
What I see is parts of society consistently ignored and dismissed. It's just not the ones popular to Twitter and the media. Look at the government stats and you can find them.
I've no time to be a victim. I will continue to follow my own nose and aim to achieve my goals.
If that's helped by others being distracted by the next pearl that Twitter swears is true, great.

We must doing a pretty crappy job with "privilege" if we're the privileged gender that dies earlier than women, does all the most dangerous and lowest paying jobs in society, suffers from depression, suicides, drug abuse, homelessness, homicides etc. 9x more than women, and generally get treated like sh*t all the time by employers, the wealthy, and those in power, while (Western) women continue to believe they "have it worse" because someone once catcalled them in the street...

So no, I don't think men are the "privileged gender." That's not to say, all women have it easier, as well. It depends on the location and time...

Yes because we win at everything - Biologically speaking and survivability wise I'd always pick a man over a woman on my team (unless it's just me and her😏) - We even stole woman of the year off of you.. Ironically these are "privileges" we can't get rid of - We'll always win - But women do have privileges where in other times one would be baffled to hear about them.. Such as identifying a rich man and metooing him telepathically by sight for example - What a time we live in

It's like many things in life: when you break it down on a individual level an idea of one group being more privileged then another does not hold much weight. Really the only thing I can say that a broad assumption of a group does hold weight is poverty. Sure there are different types of poverty. But it does not change the truth that things like race, religion, sex and sexual orientation don't matter. Because poverty simply does not care.

My girlfriend in college told me that "The weaker sex is really the stronger sex because of the stronger sex's weakness for the weaker sex", implying that women are stronger.

Since then, many women have told me that's wrong... men are stronger.

In the USA women are privileged, but men are not. Women get assistance with housing, exclusive free money for college, get lesser jail sentences for the same crime, get jobs and promotions easier even with less qualifications, are heavily favored in divorce court, and they have a significantly easier time adopting children.

It depends where we are talking about. In places like Afghanistan, men are definitely the privileged gender.

In places like the US, women are the most privileged gender. Modern western women are the most privileged and entitled humans in the history of the species.

Yes we are privileged. You have to compete for us. Because biology says women dont like most guys. So there are 2-3b desirable women on the sexual marketplace and only 300-400M guys that girls want.
