"Biden has been involved in politics nearly 50 years. It's insane."
No, it's not.
Two reasons:
1. If you are genuinely 35, 50 years seems like a lot to you because it is considerably more than you have been alive and even more since you've been "worldly aware" (which begins around age 9). While 50 years is a substantial fraction of the human lifetime, once you are over 50, you realize 50 years is not a big deal. And one reason for that is...
2. Many people work for decades in the same industry and, until the last 2 generations, the same job for decades. Politics is one of those industries and jobs in which working for decades is common. For example, Google Robert Byrd who was a Democratic Senator from WV from 1959 until his death in 2010; over 51 years in the same job. Pat Leahy from VT, Chuck Grassly from IA, and Mitch McConnell from KY have been Senators since before you were born.

To someone my age - I turn 59 this week - someone like you just stopped sucking tit last week. When you are 35, you are still an idiot because you have only just begun to detect the patterns of human nature.
When the US Constitution was written, the minimum age requirement for President was 35. That's because, at that time, the average American lifespan was in the mid-50s. Now, the MEDIAN age in the US is about 38 so, if one is 35, over half the population is older than you. Had the Framers written the Constitution today, they likely would have made the minimum age for the Presidency something like 55 or 60 - someone with more wisdom and life experience and thus has a better understanding of human nature.

Finally, if Biden was corrupt, he wouldn't have lasted as long as he did. The corrupt ones never do in a democracy.
I mean yeah but I still voted for him over what we had. He was exactly the last person I was hoping for in the primary. But like, it's better to simply sit and do no maintenance on your house than it is to convince your neighbors to burn it down to free some imaginary spirits or something.
I mean we literally have Texas enacting Sharia Law.
Biden is regular-style vanilla centrist corporate-worshipping style corrupt. Not Hillary corrupt, not Trump corrupt. Just "I see there are lots of problems but refuse to do anything about them because it would scare my donors" corrupt. It is refreshingly tame.
Like, was I bothered when Tesla wasn't invited for BBB discussions? Yeah. Was I bothered when he said "GM is the leader of the EV revolution" when they are literally selling zero EVs currently, and only doing so because Tesla made EVs cool? Certainly. I was certainly annoyed when he just completely dropped the idea of even considering any sort of student loan forgiveness. But him basically doing nothing whatsoever is certainly better than kicking out a priest and pepper-spraying protesters for a religious photo-op. And I can 100% tell you nobody is going to storm the Capitol chanting the name of "Biden".
The right seems to care WAY more about him, and assume everyone else cares WAY more about him than they actually do. I genuinely don't care. He's just an empty seat to keep someone else out until we can do better.

I mean.. Yeah.. Corruption has not only been legalized in USA but essentially mandated. If you want to survive as a politician of any note in USA you either have to accept corruption or you have to gather overwhelming support such as how Bernie sanders can support himself without the backing of the Democratic party.
The political system has been rigged to only allow corrupted individuals to succeed and climb up the ranks. Joe Biden is no exception. The only good thing I will say about him is that while he is corrupt he is through and through an establishment. Aside from protecting the corrupt system he is not out to damage or necessarily exploit the country and in fact will work to build it up at some capacity.
As such he is part of the most benign part of this corruption. Sort of the last remnants of the old politicians that allowed this to happen in the first place rather than the new generation which entered politics specifically to exploit it as much as they can for personal benefit.
As such he is weak, pathetic, rather unpatriotic and all those things but basically a mediocre president by American standards since you are really quite terrible at choosing leaders. A fun fact though. Biden has had the best first year of any president under his entire political career. This is not because he did anything spectacular but simply a consequences of starting from such an unprecedented low left by Trump which makes simply recovering a bit appear like a historic improvement.
Given how politics and money are deeply intertwined all politicians are corrupt. Politicians hold campaign dinners that cost thousands of dollars for people to attend. Politicians on both sides of the political isle retire from office and take jobs working at wall-street investment firms. Just where they peddle their political influence in Washington in the name of the investment firm they now working for. The regulation bodies of the government are being ran by people with direct contact to the largest corporations in the given industry they are supposed to regulate. Meaning there is a massive conflict of interests that is constantly ignored.
Remove the party based politics from the issue and simply look at what is left.
His family’s business dealings using his positions and contacts, plus Biden himself has been involved in all sorts of shady stuff. Back in the 1990s, he was known as „The Senator from MBNA“ (credit card company), whose CEO bought a wreck of a house from Biden at an inflated price.
I lived in Delaware, he sucked for Delaware. He was always dull minded, now he's just a muttering buffoon. I dont need a lecture on Trump by someone in the comments. Me not liking Biden doesn't say anything about my political affiliations. If dems had voted Tulsi and she got elected I'd sleep much easier at night. I hate the old guard. They're a malignant cancer that should have been removed long ago.
I'll let him speak for himself, lol
I do! he is a changed person and involved in all sorts of things some because of his son. Most of what he is doing is his party telling him things and most of that is to simply make Trump look as bad as possible. What a very sad administration! The world is watching and LOL
On the contrary, in order for a man to survive government work for 50 years
He's got to be a brain dead, soulless twat who mentally castrates himself on a daily basis. This is why America has gotten so boring, he is literally a puppet for brainless, spineless drones who are so paranoid about hurting each other's feelings that nothing gets done.
Lmao, show me one politician that isn't corrupt.
They all are. Whether it's being beholden to their contibutors, nepotism, or plain old greed; every last one of them is corrupt.
Yeah. It's truly insane to work as a public servant instead of running a tax-defrauding slumlord scheme to profit from housing shortages like certain people.
To stay in power, whether the person is a politician, business leader, or civic leader, there are always some skeletons in the closet.
I think so too. In 50 years he must've done some shady business down the road. Lol
I mean, to be honest, I would say if anything most politicians are corrupt in their own ways, so wouldn't be surprised
I have no fucking clue to be honest. I just see and hear what media shows me.
I dont give a shit about politics
all politicians are corrupt the problem is government. It's a weakness in the human psychology they need some authority figure to rule over them even though it makes their life drastfully worse it makes them feel better
yes, he forced the president of Ukraine to fire his son's prosecutor... and trump rightfully investigated that
I think he's no more corrupt than the average American politician. There's a lot of money in American politics, it's illegal to pay off politicians but it's not illegal to fund their campaign. Conflicts of interest? They're everywhere.
How did he get all that expensive property he owns on 172K a year?
Through investments he and wife made, and both his and his wife books. Joe Biden is a best selling author (I didn't know that).
He certainly is. But so are all of them at that level.
No, and those that think so are so horribly misinformed.
IMHO, he's passed the corruption phase and is just a puppet now for the Democrat party.
I have not seen any evidence of corruption.
There were tons for trump.
He sold his office many time taking money for how he voted
There had never been a political person who isn't corrupt
I am sure his God damn hands are dirty, any body in that long is a fuckin crook.
Birthname: Jozef Bidenovich
Party: American Communist Party
That’s like asking if an apple is a fruit. There’s no politician that isn’t corrupt.
I think all politicians are corrupt.
No more corrupt than any of the rest of them.
yup. just not as open as Trump.
Not at all.
Absolutely corrupt.
