What is "chemistry" between two people?

I saw (through a site called formspring) that this guy looked for "chemistry" when he was asked what he looked for in a girl etc.

I know what he means by it yet I have no idea how to describe it...

And I believe I don't fall for a person straight away. Does this mean "chemistry" is supposedly found straight from the first meeting? I am also quiet making it harder for someone to get to know me at first.

So what is "chemistry" as such and how does it... arise?

Also, Do you think its possible for one person to feel chemistry but the other not to?

Chemistry is something you cannot fake, you either have it or you don't, and if you've had it, then you already know what it feels like. For me I found that I have a chemistry with a very unlikely person, meaning if the chemistry wasn't there I probably wouldn't have looked twice.

Chemistry however, does not need to be between two people who fancy each other, it could be between two people who are simply friends, so I would say there are different levels. But chemistry with the opposite gender, or same sex in terms of relationships is something quite different.

From my experience, it feels fantastic, neither of you have to say a word to know what the other person is thinking, and if you are both in the presence of others, it will feel like its just you two. I can't get the person out of my head..not everyone who is in a relationship together actually neccessarily feel a 'chemistry'

No, I don't believe that one person feels it and the other does not. The point in the 'chemistry' is that you are connected to each other, and not just by speech. You alone can not have chemistry by yourself, because if you don't feel it from the other person, then there is no chemistry, the other person can spark it up in you, but you cannot feel it alone.

"chemistry" like "love" is a vague, english word that is used to describe an intense mix of individual emotions. Chemistry for you may not be chemistry for someone else, and it can also arise in different ways. I think I do some things that make it happen in some women but I can never be 100% sure about it, best thing is to do whatever seems to be working and be yourself

It's like the connection/energy between two people. Chemistry is important and it's basically the only thing I look for when meeting a girl. Chemistry happens when I meet a girl who's attractive inside and out and we click. It also doesn't always happen in the first meeting although usually you can kinda gauge it from then on.

Yea I guess you could kinda see it that way, but I usually mean a mutual strong attraction when I speak of chemistry.

Attraction is chemisty, chemistry isn't always attraction.

Haha yeah, just remember chemistry doesn't always have to be romantic, it's just that feeling you get when you "click" with someone.

the chemistry I know is a science subject where we learn about chemicals and stuff like that.hahahaha

and on a serious note chemistry is the way two people connect to each other and understand each other.

no.i still feel you didn't get the meaning of chemistry.its basically the bonding between the two.like 4 eg a person can know what the other person is trying to say,act or anything.so its like how much the two understand and know each other.
