What your saying is true but i think abortion rights are foundational to conservative values as a whole. Both are using different definitions of freedom. There's situations for greater freedom with endless options and situations were there's greater freedom with less options. That's the ongoing philosophical debate on any given topic.

I honestly believe most conservatives use anti abortion laws as a way of punishing women for having sex. Be it death or at least a child. These conservatives will call it freedom from other men or the grander world. That's my guess.

I would limit choices in art to achieve greater freedom. When you can do everything you end up doing nothing. Could that be the same logic conservatives have with women as art projects? Do conservatives treat women like objects? Just baby sandwich making machines?

78% of Conservatives/Republicans think abortion should be illegal. The majority of the nation across all political parties are against full legalization of abortion. The majority believe that abortions should be limited in some fashion by government regardless of gender.

They care for political reasons not because it's actually a strong conviction about life or death. It's all about opposing the political party.

Clearly the data across all political parties shown by gender shows your wrong. Only about 30% of the nation actually approves of abortion. Most people don't like it at all. About half the nation is willing to turn a blind eye to it even though they don't like it so long as there is some sort of regulation on it.

No, I do not think they care about abortion. Those same people who proclaim to be anti abortion are the same people who are pro-guns. They have no qualms about killing other people (in self defense or not) or animals. I find that hypocritical. They just want to have another argument with Democrats.

I think dependents on certain people. As many other times I'm not a fan of generalisation.
But there are for republicans who are doing because it's something against democratic policy but I wouldn't say it's all of them.
Because there are many republican minded Christian pastors that asked their members before the last election to vote for Trump and the republican party because of abortion as supporting unborn life.
So I'd say yes and no.

Sometimes I think it's more about their political views becoming the norm. Though the same can be said about people on the left. Because politics can very much can be broken down into these are my views as a (insert political party) and I demand every one thinks, acts according to my parties as well as my views. It is one of those things that people will not honestly say, but their actions still admit for them.

Point is they don't actually care about the fetus or infants, if they did they wouldn't be the party to cut funding programs that help single mothers feed their kids, provide healthcare, housing etc which they don't a flip about helping those poor kids after they are born.
