Which Greek or Roman thinkers (of antiquity) do you prefer and why?

Eh, I’ve read everything that the Roman Stoics wrote. While I’m a fan of Marcus Aurelius I can never forget the fact that he was Emperor of Rome. What real personal hardship did he ever have to endure?
I mean at least Epictetus was a former slave.
Aristotle was just... I mean wow. I haven’t read everything he wrote, just his “Poetics” and “Politics.”
Julius Caesar was such a gangster. Everyone thinks of him as Emperor and his assassination. Read Caesar’s “Conquest of Gaul.” The man was a military genius. Just an incredible commander who would often lead his men personally in heavy fighting against the Gauls.
I prefer Herodotus over Thucydides.
I could go on, but I’m only being boring.
When it comes to philosophers I'd have to say diogenies is my favorite I look up to him
Outside of philosophy I would have to give that to the original emperor's of Rome
Well, at the moment I'm reading 'Meditations', by Marcus Aurelius.

Aristotle. He noticed that the democracy is just " a rule of hyenas over donkeys".
2300 years has passed since then and nothing changed.
"I'm the Greek thinker" "and I am the Roman Stinker"
I'm not sure yet on his philosophy but Diogenes the Cynic was funny as hell with how he responded to things
My friends have compared me perhaps unflatteringly to Diogenes a few times. I tend to mock authority and many of societies norms.
I don’t put a lot of stock in them. I appreciate…blah blah blah. But I’ve had too many debates with people reverting to arguments of Socrates or Plato. Don’t care.
Aristotle because he studied multiple stuff and created theories that we follow even nowadays and he influenced most thinkers.
Epictetus, Democritus, Hypatia, Aristarchus.
None fuck both of em.
Socrates
