Pro-lifers, what is the difference between a fetus, an egg cell and a sperm in terms of life value?

A fetus, an egg cell, and a sperm are all potential human lives. Yet we flush egg cells and millions of sperm down the drain every single day without a thought. Isn't that a crime? Shouldn't we be making sure they all get born?

An unfertilized egg and a sperm cell have half the DNA of a human. And all of the DNA is of the person that they come from. Sperm and egg cells don't survive long after exiting the testis or ovaries. A fetus is a unique life form, its DNA is different than its mother and father. As it is a combination of the two. Outside of mammals, marsupials, and sharks; a fertilized egg can survive on its own. Congratulations on being a higher form of life that invests more resources for their offsprings' development.

Not the same thing. Your sperm or eggs aren’t growing without one another. I guess one would say when there is a completed instruction set (dna) for life then it is life. It’s just definitions. I’m not pro life I’m pro choice but personal relationship wise I’m prolife and would never have an abortion if I can stop it (unless she is raped, will hurt her, etc.)

Fetus has its own DNA formed from elements of the mother's and father's DNA, egg cell has the female's DNA and the sperm has the male's DNA.
