I got registered in time for California. I voted red across the board. can't stand Newsom. I like having my right to carry and the laws are retarded here. You can get a glock gen 3 but not a gen 4 for trivial matters. And get this if the glock comes in Coyote Tan or OD green they are illegal to own simply because they overregulate the shit out of firearms AND the Bureau of Firearms are full of lazy f***s who didn't want to use the extra little designation next to the model numbers. These laws dont make people safe, they just make more people criminals over sh*t that makes no differences to the operation of the firearm. Trying to convince her to leave for Oregon, Arizona, or Nevada. Sorry, your state is beautiful but the laws here are complete @ss. I might have to type up a mytake about the idiocy of California gun laws and how they actually make you LESS safe. Let me be clear, keeping guns out of the hands of the wrong people is fine. BUT removing guns from a legal list over something like the way it looks or because it has a certain cosmetic feature to make it more comfortable to shoot? Completely asinine. Why would you want the shooter to have LESS control over their guns? Imagine something like that causing them to hit something unintended. I know LA sheriff and some others like the one in Orange and San Bernardino and all the ones up north are now giving out Concealed Carries pretty regularly without issue (thank God). At least they remember their oath of office unlike Gavin Newsom. I'd love to give that guy a piece of my mind, but alas I dont speak traitor so we wouldn't understand each other and I'd gander to think I'd just hate him more after he spoke. My family didn't spill blood in this country in 5 wars to have a pretentious fop like Newsom strip me of my God given rights, drive away the biggest taxpayers and contributors to the local economy, and create even more homelessness.

Nevada is an overheated shithole, I'll give you that LOL. Aside from The Wynn vegas was lackluster. Homeless are making travel so much less fun these days. I swear to God I crossed that Cali/Nevade boarder and I felt like i needed a factory's worth of skin lotion to restore me lol. DAMN never experieced a climate so dry in my life. For reference living in Maryland you would get 80-100% humidity most of the year and overcasts all the damn time. Right before i left for Cali we had an overcast for exactly 17 days NO SUNLIGHT! I come back to Maryland to pack and while I'm flying with Southwest (by the way love them) on the 737 I get to Midway in Chicago and I'm back in a NE shithole! lol the air was terrible in the plane once we got to IL and the g force was hella brutal. Once you get to around Colorado or maybe a bit before the air isn't as heavy and you feel better and less stressed if you're sensitive. I asked the lady next to me if she felt it and she confirmed she felt the same thing.

For people living in California, gun owners they become criminals overnight if they obtained a gun legally a few years prior that no longer is now on their retarded list of legal firearms. The bureau is so goddamn lazy they can't even keep a proper list on their official website. There are guns being sold in Cali right now that are legal but are not on the list and the reverse is also true. There's too much goddamn regulation to the point that no one knows who is and isn't a criminal. When I came to cali I was afraid for my safety having any firearms because I showed up RIGHT AFTER that girl in LA county was shot by that dumb ass trigger happy cop with the shotgun because he couldnt just coordinate a takedown for the unarmed guy in the store with his 4 other cops! Like WHAT? So not only were 5 officers incapable of stopping a single unarmed man... they chose a f*cking SHOTGUN to take him down? They load that with buckshot! wtf did they think was going to happen? He didn't even verify his backstop! THAT'S BASIC FIREARMS SAFETY 101! That's a shot as a rookie I wouldn't have taken when I just got my guns when I was 18. But these cops are dumb enough? You see my concern, right? I live in LA county, same as you. Remember we had that talk and you said you were afraid to carry because of trigger happy cops? You were right and I rest my case. Dear God...

I own guns, and I don't carry them because I don't need to get arrested, and the cops here are nuts. That said, I am ok with not carrying as I am quite vigilant and careful, and I only frequent what seem to be safe areas. This is just part of the cost of living here really, and it's pretty much limited to LA County. You might like Orange County a lot better actually.

uhhh but honestly the list of legal guns is dogsh*t. If you aren't into big guns you're screwed. Most concealable guns are off the table. That said you can be in a donut shop and then 5 minutes later a dude walks in with a gun. Shit like that happens no matter where you go. And for that reason I like having something. Plus the homelessness is BAD now and 3 of them encircled my girl at the Target in Azusa (the 2 story one near the train). Anyways I showed up and they backed off. BUT if they all came at me with knives or shanks there wouldn't be much I could do other than hold them off so she could flee and likely get stabbed to death. Whereas having a gun on me 100% changes the outcome. I'm looking at a Ruger LC380 because the Kahr CW9 is basically the other small gun allowed in that size range. I like a full grip, a gun under 23 ounces unloaded, and has a flat profile. Kahrs often have reliability issues so I dont mess with them. Only issue with the Ruger is all the goddamn safeties on it. I have been considering a Taurus 856 UL with the 3" barrel. I'm proficient with revolvers and semi autos.

SB county is not all that expensive and I think you would like it. I am told you can get a CC permit there but check to see if you really can. Not sure about the crime rates so maybe check that too?

Well outside of SB proper you are safe. We looked at homes in Fontana, Ontario, and Upland. Still debating on if I want to remain in California for good or not. The big issue is your state doesn't have a state constitution that even talks about guns. So dems are able to basically cripple the right. The other issue is as soon as a gun loving sheriff retires or dies a far left one could take his place who hates guns. This shouldn't be a left/right issue and neither party should be involved in it but the DNC has ties to the anti gun lobby so it never ends with them.

Utah is too far and Idaho is too expensive to move to now and also they have a housing shortage from all the Californians that fled a over the last few years. Idaho and Texas are getting the bulk. Plus she still has family in California so not much choice other than Oregon, Arizona, or Nevada. I was thinking either Oregon or Nevada tbh. The far north of Nevade specifically as the south is too goddamn hot and dry but the north is rather Beautiful. If Only I could get over to South Dakota I want to live there so badly. Yes it doesn't have all the resteraunts and quick stops Cali has but it's free of sales tax, it's gorgeous with lots of nature, and its very gun friendly and not overpopulate meaning I can get a good chunk of land for a backyard and go out shooting in the woods. I'm willing to shovel my driveway in the winter if it gets bad for that. Although with global warming that might not be an issue anymore and it might become like a perfect climate to live in honestly. But she's concerned about going because the hispanic population is like under 5% and she's worried about getting profiled in places where they have a low hispanic population.

With how things are currently going with our system, I will not be voting. This is a personal choice of mine as I don’t feel either party represents me or my views, so I will stay out of elections until I feel someone truly represents me.
