Well, aside from my own country - the USA - put me down for Great Britain. Grant, as a matter of climate you could put me down for St. Vincent and the Grenadines, but for history, architecture, culture, you name it, the UK wins hands down.
In fact, I have visited the UK at least 5 times, been to different parts of it, and have been lucky enough to become friends with a security officer at Westminster. He got me into Prime Minister's Questions, gave me a chance to stand on the floor of the House of Lords, got me into Downing Street and got me a grand tour of Westminster overall.
In addition, I got a special tour of Buckingham Palace.
The list goes on, but as I work in politics, am a huge history buff and an Anglophile who knows all three verses to "God Save the Queen," it is amazing every time I visit. I've visited 38 countries over my life time, but none beats the UK for culture, history and also - frankly - friendly people.
I donβt have a favourite. I loved all the countries I travelled to.
Apart from my own country, I would say Italy without hesitation.
Italy has breathtaking landscapes and an unparalleled history and cultural richness.
