Why was I block?

So me and this guy got into a argument, I wanted to understand his opinion so I ask questions and stated my opinion on it. Instead of trying to argue with me, he gets mad and proceeds to block me. How does one learn anything or be persuaded to join someone's side when you aren't even willing to have a debate with them?

Some people are really weird. They'll block you just because you said something they don't like (that is if you aren't saying anything bigoted or intolerant). They can't handle people who have different viewpoints so they resort to blocking people they don't agree with.

He just doesn't want to talk to you. Maybe he doesn't have any valid arguments so he decides to block you instead.
