There is no "answer" for the Republican party. They have completely backed themselves into a corner with no way out, at most they can just energize their already existing support base but they do not have a future as these old racists continue to die of old age.

It is too late for them to win back popular support at this point once they already burned all their bridges to keep their current supporters happy. Be it Trump or Ron DeSantis, they are just the captain of a sinking ship.

I haven't voted Republican for a while; but I would probably vote for him if he ran. Don't know all of his politics, but I have liked what I have seen so far. I would have to look further into them if he winds up on the ticket.
