Oh yeah.

They're... Just kinda sad. Personally, I think incels are just deeply afraid men who have failed to launch. They're often highly socially isolated, have few real friends (and very few female friends, if any), and don't really get outside a lot.

But they DO spend a lot of time online in echo chambers.

They'll run screaming from spaces that challenge their very narrow world view, because the alternative is admitting they were wrong.

And it's kinda normal for people not to want to be wrong. Incels just kinda take it well too far.

They're just poor, isolated, socially awkward boys and men who are too afraid to get real world experience. So they project their issues onto an entire opposite gender, because it's easier on their egos than recognizing their actual issue - themselves.

And fortunately, physical looks are pretty damn easy to change.

Working out, make up, fashion, etc. Humans can be damn shapeshifters sometimes.

But if the fear is what's stopping them, that's not something a cool jacket can fix. That's something only concentrated effort by the incel will ever fix.

"Social handicap" is something that can be overcome. I know people on the Autism spectrum, with traumatic brain injury, and with many other legitimate conditions (not just "I'm socially shy") who have overcome their difficulties to interact very well with people in their day to day lives.

Life isn't easy. Friendships aren't easy. Relationships are not easy.

Even if there's layers, it comes down to whether or not that incel has the courage to work on themselves enough to get to a point they feel able to accomplish their - reasonable - goals.

I think they often have shrewd expectations. Like expecting a model when they look nowhere near that themselves.

It's wrong they're not putting the effort in to match it themselves, but some models like having average partners. And most people don't care about looks as much as you think.

The whole "woke" body positivity movement thing? Yeah, most people agree looking good is desirable. But personality shines brighter than looks.

I'm average but I've still had partners and get propositioned.

It's their personality.

They're so lacking in personality they try painting the whole world in these weird broad, black-and-white strokes. When it's not - it's a weird and evershifting mess of colours.

Those incels - and you, if you're speaking for yourself here - need to put in the work to get a personality that's attractive. It's hard work, and it'll take a lot of years and therapy, but it improves life so much.

If an incel is chasing someone who wants a model, but doesn't put in that effort themselves - and the incel certainly isn't putting in that effort either - then of course they're gonna get disappointed.

What matters is pupil dilation, isopraxism, amount of eye contact etc. It's done by the body and if you think you're laughing because he's funny, you're not. You're laughing at his jokes because you're attracted to him.
