Stephen Colbert asked her flat out if she was going to run for the presidency in 2024. She gave the typical non-answer. She said "right now I'm just focused on holding our democracy together." I think that means she's going to run.
And I absolutely think she could get the nomination. Beto O'Rourke will be his usual crazy self and ride a skateboard on stage. Buttigieg will be rambling on about racist bridges. Pocahontas will be talking about her life on the reservation. Tulsi gabbard will be completely shunned by the dnc.
Meanwhile, AOC will be promising complete debt forgiveness, free college, free electric cars, free houses for the poor, and it'll all be paid for by the rich. Of course she's going to get the nomination.

Tax The Rich is actually hard to do.
Generally democracies find it harder to take more than x% of GDP. For a start Rich Bastards have the discretionary spending to pay people to minimize their tax. It is also hard to say costs can't be deducted from revenue to give your profit and you can only be taxed on net profit. So your average Rich Bastard will work it so he makes a loss but a capital profit. eg you buy property but the costs are higher than rental income so that reduces your tax but the value of the property increases.
Or the Rich Bastards decide not to work as hard. That world renown plastic surgeon goes for work life balance and forgoes making the squillions he could.
Or the Rich Bastards ungratefully relocate. Maybe all plastic surgeons go south of your Southern border after getting good tax breaks for building plastic surgery hospitals on the other side.
The tax to GDP is less flexible than left wing politics would like because of what can be done to counter it. In the US I think it is called Hausers Law that your federal gov't gets 20% of GDP irrespective of what the tax regime is.

Tulsi could actually get independent votes but the same problem... establishment types hate her.
The establishment types (DINO's AND RINO's) are holding both parties back from major changes that need to eventually happen... but the Democratic party is rigid and stiff with their side of the electoral process... they'd never allow a wild card like AOC to run as the main candidate. That's just my opinion though... that party is going to be so desperate after Biden gets done that they might use anyone.

From what I seen, unless a candidate promises death and suffering for everyone, the majority of Americans don't want them, they want to suffer, they want to make things worse and they want more people to die, more work, less health benefits, less safety, less freedom. The American dream is now to be a slave. Work, die, the end. Pretty crazy ill admit how effective their brainwashing is.

She'll still be too young to be taken seriously in 2024, but the conservative smear campaign is already well underway, so by the time she is old enough, there's a good chance they'll have convinced enough moderates that she's some kind of communist extremist, for her to be unable to win (the same reason Bernie Sanders is not president right now).
Her platform would not even be remotely popular enough against Republicans (let alone most Democrats). So strategic voting would be against her, and she would not get the nomination.
The reality is that AOC-style progressives couldn’t even win against centrist democrats in cities like NYC (such as with Eric Adams). There is no way she would stand a chance nationally. And indeed, we’ve seen Bernie Sanders (who has a much better profile than AOC) get crushed twice
A far more likely outcome is that some more establishment democrat (such as Biden himself) would get the nomination by the DNC, even because an establishment democrat would actually stand a chance against a Republican.

I think she is aiming for speaker of the house before anything else at the moment. If she goes for the senate seat that will be the mark of a presidential nomination move.

I'm not sure at this point. I like the integrity of Gretchen Whitmer or maybe another blue state governor but I'm not sure who. Jay Inslee has been pretty steady as governor of Washington. I would love John Fetterman, he smart, truly compassionate, a huge advocate for the working class. He's running for Pennsylvania governor this year, so 2024 will be too early for him.
