A wifebeater is basically a sleeveless tee. Calling it a tank top just sounds a bit... yea lmao. (Not that wifebeater is any better). And no girdles and waist trainers hold in stomaches. I've seen many men wearing wifebeaters and they still had a beer belly

tank tops are for warm weather comfort. It allows armpit sweat to dry instead of soak into your clothes. I personally hate wearing sleeves if I dont need to.
