Does Russia not care that it’s making lots of people hate their country?

I was never a big fan of Putin but I didn’t hate Russia. I really do now. Can’t help but see them as an evil threat to the world.

No, they don't care, but so much more importantly; the Russians and Chinese (China is a bigger threat than Russia is) have no interest in participating in the liberal western world order. For them to care about what we think, they would need to think that our approach to life and the world is the correct approach; they don't think that. The Indians are similar that way. They simply don't think playing by our rules is a good idea and they have big enough populations that they don't have to.

The western world and european liberalism isn't as popular or attractive as people in the west want to believe. That was a lot for me to wrap my mind around, but it's true and everything makes more sense when you understand the way they think.

I believe an American general once said if you have them by the balls, their hearts and minds will follow.
If Russia succeeds in taking control of productive agricultural land, mineral and gas/oil rights, and control of the southern ports and access to the sea in that region, it may be that it can hold Europe and perhaps the world to ransom backed by its allies (principally China).

I know it cause I speak Russian, I am from the neighboring country, my parents grew up in the Soviet Union and they had lived in Russia before.

You don’t want to go there, if you go, there are just 3-5 livable cities, other people live like Europe in middle ages. I believe it wouod be good for you to learn Russian and at least listen to Russian channels, Russian TV shows, you’ll find out it’s not as strong as you believe and it’s not as good as you think.
